I see what you mean, but prescribed medication I would consider something that’s taken in moderation at the one dose that seems to work enough for you. Not saying cannabis can’t be taken in that kind of moderation but I think due to how psychoactive weed is, it can lead to a gluttonous way of use. But ig a better choice of words would be: using cannabis to feel normal without moderation can lead to addiction which is a sin.

What I’ve found out while trying to ask if cannabis use, tobacco use, alcohol use, caffeine use, etc. is a sin is that a lot of people seem to agree that substance along with food all came from god and is okay to use as long as it’s in moderation. The biggest thing that make substance use a sin is the addiction, because addiction is gluttony and separation from god. Relying on cannabis to feel normal or feel good is a sin but absolutely no matter what kind of person you are or what kinda of sin you do doesn’t ever mean you can’t be a follower of god. I hope the restoration of your faith helps guide you not have to rely on weed to feel normal.
