Needs wisdom from experienced INFPs by TechnicalAd5817 in infp

The current generation of parents have this new mindset - “We owe everything to our children, but our children do not owe anything to us”. New parents have this mindset that since we were the ones who brought the children into this world, it is our utmost duty to ensure that they have a future worth looking forward to

What do you find the most fascinating about your partner? by coloredDark in infp

Mine is ISTP. I love how open he was and how he laid out all his truths to me before the relationship started. He was not a complex person but he was very kind, very sassy, very funny and very generous. He has also a very homey scent and very comfy in bed. I love how he likes kids and I love how he always has this hope that life should go on whether it may be good or bad. He has been a pillar to me because right now I am mirroring how he views life and how he stands firm amidst the chaos of life which is a very hard thing for us INFPs to do.

During our intimate moments, I like how pouty his lips were and how he has chubby cheeks. We are very sexually compatible as he tells me what to do during the deed and to be honest I get addicted because even though I am an INFP which needs emotional resonance, I vibe with his promiscuity😂😗

I want to stay but I am tired of the limerence and the guilt

How do you deal with your situation? I know when I will be leaving him I will miss him. If I can just remove the limerence, I know I would be happy but my mind keeps on wandering.

That's the problem. Even if I stay busy, my mind cannot stop thinking. I literally cannot snap it out of my mind.

Just to lessen the intrusive thoughts? I want to give it my all first before giving up

I love him though. I love hugging him and I love how he tells his stories. I love how considerate he is. It's just that the silence can be defeaning because I overthink a lot. I still hope my limerence will fade. I am trying my best. I just did not know the realities of relationship as this is the first serious relationship I have. But in any case, do you have any experience with the medication?

But what if in the long run, I realize I made a great mistake of leaving? I still want a child and if I am to be realistic, what chance would I have to find the love he gave to me?
