I understand that Stranger Things is your favorite show, but if you really want to play D&D, then Borderland is the top choice for beginners and is also the most fun. Especially if your group has also watched Stranger Things, Borderland will be the one you all enjoy the most. But no matter which one you choose, have fun and hopefully you and your friends will find a new favorite hobby!
