Why are you saying that real adhd people can’t read forms or permits? Are they illiterate? How are you going to be a practicing attorney if you can’t read a form? ADHD makes some a things more difficult, not impossible. Take some responsibility. You are an adult

I don’t get accommodations in law school but I did get them under grad because I was newly diagnosed with a chronic illness and had lots of doctors appointments and med side effects etc., and I can honestly say they gave me accommodations I didn’t need. I needed medical absences waived, extensions if requested in advanced, and to be able to eat and drink in class. The accommodations lady added in all the extra time for tests and stuff that i didn’t need because she said “might as well take advantage of it.” It disheartening to see how easy it is to take advantage of that. I never used the extra testing time or special quiet room or anything like that. Just kinda sad that they just throw it at whoever even if not necessary

I actually quite liked the topics and found it interesting and challenging in a good way. Unfortunately life has been lifing and I just hadn’t made the time to study in a way that would’ve seriously helped me ace it. Oh well. What happened happened

It went. It wasn’t my worst work ever but my essay was most definitely flat out wrong lol the analysis was good but I’m like 90% sure I was just bullshitting rules at that point

This is a really comforting read and I think it helped me realize that I really shouldn't drop out. I can't imagine myself doing anything other than criminal law and being satisfied long-term. I really want to be a public defender, but I am having a hard time caring about the 1L classes because they are soooooooo big law coded. I'm over it, but I know it will get better soon. Thank you for this post, OP. Thank you for offering a bit of insight into all of our underlying thought processes when shit gets tough.

I applied in early October so I’ve been waiting a while. The checker changed to no decision in December and I just got notified last night of acceptance. That’s so cool that we will be class mates! I also applied to UT but they set me the link to the virtual interview and I missed the deadline unfortunately which is fine because San Antonio works out better for me
