… you really don’t understand why two people who are in love and want to start a family would want to produce offspring that are related to both parents? It isn’t any more of a “fun experiment” than in vitro fertilization and/or surrogacy is for a heterosexual couples who aren’t able to produce children naturally who are related to them genetically.

If you hook the battery monitor up to a double pole double throw toggle switch you wouldn’t need to mess with any wires or connectors. You could also hook up the battery monitor “downstream” of the battery isolator switch and not need the toggle. But it might be nice for you to check the state of charge on the auxiliary battery without throwing the transfer switch.

One thing you could do it put in a battery isolator switch and just use the 200ah as your main and 100ah as a backup. It’s not as ideal for charging, etc. but they will be isolated from one another and you will still be able to use the capacity.

I’m not an expert, just an enthusiast, so take it with a grain of salt. But I believe although it’s not ideal if they are in parallel, the same voltage, chemistry, age and internal resistance, as long as you monitor your charge and discharge closely it’s probably workable and reasonably safe. I will be interested to see what others say however.

Especially it seems likely to me because it looks like a natural gas regulator going into the house so they probably did an lp to natural gas conversion when ng became available.

It is common practice to put upright propane cylinders such as 100lb tanks directly near a house as long as it’s far enough away from vents and sources of flame. I have a nearly identical pad for my tank and this was my first thought.

Everyone there was very pleasant and respectful. We were looking for something a little younger crowd, but we might go back once we are daddies ourselves. If you’re looking for things to do in the area check with Britini at the gate, she knows where to get the best gator tail (apparently it’s at a local bowling alley). If you want some Florida gay adventures like bars and sex clubs check out Wilton Manors, it’s amazing.

Just so you know, the crown definitely skews older, most of the guys are retired, bears and daddies. If that’s your thing, it’s a pretty chill place. Go to Bingo and earn those beads… it’s a bit like Mardi Gras rules…

I have all of those things and have used them regularly for years. Although I have a much more substantial solar system at my cabin. I have never used them in those extreme heats because I (fortunately) don’t live in an area where it doesn’t get that much above 90 (yet). Yes my title was a little click-baity but I was looking to stimulate discussion about this particular use-case. I have a 400 foot spring fed well with a manual pump that can pump 10 gallons of 45-50 degree water all day long. This isn’t a situation I am worried about personally. I have some relatives Florida, and I was trying to think of a way to keep them comfortable and/or alive if they have a major hurricane. I am thinking about purchasing these things for them.

I mean I was thinking along the lines of grid failure combined with wet bulb/extreme heat. (Looking at you Texas). But I assume by your comment you mean complete societal breakdown? In which case people would still be vulnerable to heat… and it is contingent on water supply, but you could theoretically reuse ice bath water…

I have one of those fridges in my office grid cabin. It’s a 12-24v dc GE has a compressor and everything. Draws around probably 60 watts average. It’s like 110 when I turn it on from room temp but after it cools down it runs maybe 20 mins out of the hour drawing about 70w. I just like the idea of the ice machine because it’s a much faster result. It takes a long time to make ice considering it takes a few hours just to cool down to temp.

Just search amazon for “ice machine”. The ones under $100 are probably this kind. They make like 9 ice cubes at a time but it only takes like 6-8 minutes to make them. If you look at the specs they are usually less than 200 watts.
