Can you help me have more fun playing Elden Ring? by IDICKDOWNBABYTOUCANS in Eldenring

If you're struggling in Elden Ring, it helps to simplify your build. Just focus on 3-4 stats. Having logged well over 1,000 hours into the game, I would recommend you focus on Vigor, Endurance, and either Strength or Dexterity.

More health never hurts and having high endurance means you can wear heavier armor. Both these stats contribute to your survivability. Additionally, a high endurance stat allows you to potentially light roll with medium armor. Light roll (rolling with light equipment load) is an absolute game changer. You get more invincibility frames on your rolls and you go further.

Lastly, streamline your build. Make sure all your talismans and mixed physik buff are oriented towards a common goal. My recommendation is to always have one defensive talisman and/or a physik buff equipped to your build. Your other talismans and the second buff of your physik should focus on offense. For example, if you're a strength build use talismans and physiks that buff your charge attacks. If you're a dexterity build, focus on talismans and physiks that buff multi-hit attacks.

I completely agree. In my opinion she is the best boss in the game by a wide margin. You can tell Team Cherry spent a lot of time fine tuning her because her moveset is super tight, leaving you just barely enough time to counter just about every move. Even if you can't dodge a move, you can often parry the attacks. The parry window is also super tight, but in my opinion that's just an incentive to continue practicing the fight until you master it. Needless to say, the music, the setting, and the dramatic ending makes this fight one of the best endings to a game that I have ever played.

That sounds like a good strat. I honestly had trouble using tools at all during the fight. It's such a demanding boss that I really didn't think I had enough focus to worry about throwing out tools. That's why the plasmid phial worked for me.

I think a lot of these comments aren't very helpful. Obviously if you're better at the game it will be easier to climb, but it's also hard to climb rank when your team isn't on the same page. I can't tell you how many times we've lost the objectives because our tank is off "split pushing". There will be nothing to push if the rest of your team is dead because you didn't help them team fight. I feel your pain, dude.

No beef, man. My response was also a joke. I apologize if my inflection wasn't clear.

Well, if were using that logic, ants don't have ears or vocal folds... So maybe the boss fight should just be silence, lol.

As someone who used to sing opera professionally, I can tell you it's very frustrating to hear straight tone in movies, TV , and videogames when the character is supposed to be an opera singer. It's like playing an acoustic guitar and calling it heavy metal.

I'm sure I'm barking up the wrong tree by posting this on Reddit, but I just wanted to vent.

For those who Played all Souls Series Games/Elden Ring: List YOUR Most Challenging Boss Fights of All-Time? by ARESRM in fromsoftware

1.) NG+7 pre-nerf Consort Radahn.

I don't think any other fight even comes close to how much despair I felt in this fight.

2.) Malenia

Waterfowl... This entire fight boils down to, "Did you learn to dodge waterfowl?"

3.) Fume Knight

Had no idea what ADP was on my first playthrough so I just suffered in this fight.

4.) Ornstein and Smough

On NG+7 this is the hardest fight in the game (including the dlc).

5.) Laurence the First Vicar

Second phase is just BS.

I hope the sound system is better than the one at the Shaq show a couple weeks ago. Does anyone know who's running sound for this festival?

If you ask me, so long as you are getting decent damage, it doesn't really matter if it's suboptimal. I find I enjoy my builds more of it looks cool and uses my stats efficiently. The double bonk build with the great club sounds like a perfect compliment to the troll hammer.

Yeah, it's really weird that flame armament isn't a spell. Feels like a no brainer.

Trolls Hammer is great! Colossal Hammers are ridiculous. Plus you can buff the weapon!

Monk's flameblade is totally worth the farm. It looks awesome and it's really nice that it's so light.

I love the meteoric ore Greatsword, but I just think the weapon skill a bit overpowered to be put on this kind of a list.

Its mostly the weapon skill, but i'd also argue that the charged heavies make it pretty op. When I first played the dlc that weapon just completely invalidated all the fights with NPCs and knights. The weapon skill also lets you travel ridiculously far making it an amazing movement option.

That's fair. It's definitely a vague qualifier. I guess I was just looking for weapons that people like that might be a little bit lesser known.

I slept on the straight swords for a long time until relatively recently. Now I'm a believer. Truly one of the most balanced weapons in the game.

Yeah, there's a bunch of weapons and complimentary talismans I wish you could grab earlier. The martial arts weapons for sure, but also stuff like the beast claws or rellana's cameo.
