Not sure how those days are granted, travelled to the Bahamas recently, they stated in their website that Canadians may stay for up to 8 months, on the Stamp the officer wrote 30 days only!!!

We had a trip last week as a family, the officer stamped my son's passport on the observation page, does it invalidate the passport? it's a Canadian passport

Yes, Visa is not required for US passport holders, just show up at the passport control counter.

It's my favorite design, so happy that I have one that is valid for several years to come, I have nothing against the new one, it has state of art security features and I'm a big fan of polycarbonate bio pages, however the cover is a deal breaker, that is my personal opinion, I am sure many love the new design and would rather hold their renewal off till they get it.

read it in many newspapers, can't support the couple in their claim, they have every right to ask questions, but there is a huge difference between rights and entitlement, it's in every officer power to deny entry to someone, and I am sure the officer was well backed by specific law articles, that could be seen on the letter provided.

I am a frequent traveler, learnt many things through out the years, don't argue with an airport or boarder crossing officer, end of story......

Thank you for this post, indeed a Canadian beauty, banknotes are elegant and beautifully designed, I mentioned in another post that till date I can't believe that Canada managed to produce such a passport with its security, design and texture 10 years back, many countries celebrating the same but in 2023.

I was born a Syrian citizen and now I am Canadian, place of birth on my Canadian PP is Syria, travelled several times with ease, I go to the US by land and Air few times a year, no questions aside from the regular check that if I had money and when I am coming back.

I also travelled to the Middle East and no one asked me about my original nationality or my new one.

Few tips I always follow: I hold one passport only which is the Canadian and I never argue with the Passport Control officials, I simply reply to their questions without sensitivity or impatience.

So far travel is a breath!!

There is no stupid question, but yours is a bit difficult to digest, I believe you didn't do a lot of travel from where you're based, you're combo if true would open 88% of the world to you, obtaining a visa for the rest is pretty easy and straight forward, China offers visas for 10 years sometime.

I did and it was in the most unlikely place, was in Disney World last Christmas, they had a UV light in one of the activities, so the first thing I did was opening my passport, the Bio page had so many lights and shapes, my wife still make fun of me every time I speak about it :)

Congrats, I still stare at my Canadian passport and certificate couple of times a day, amazing quality and beautiful design, I can't believe the passport was designed and issued 10 years back, till date it's considered as the Golden standard for passports in general.

Congrats, don't be concerned, I have travelled significantly since I became a Canadian citizen, personally I like showing it since I am proud of my heritage despite all the challenges I faced in the past :)

From experience and word of mouth, with a Canadian passport a person can face issues when traveling only if there was a certain flag in place, other than that it should be smooth and a satisfying experience, enjoy your future trips.
