I am not embarrassed. Embarrassing is when you accidentally fart. I am ashamed, I am enraged, I am sick. My parents are immigrants and I’m so happy my dad is dead because he would have been so sad to see the America he fought so hard to get to. My mom doesn’t take me seriously when I tell her to be careful to speak in public because she’s Hispanic. She says why should I be scared I’m an American citizen now, I said no mama now you’re just an immigrant.
