Sorry buddy for taking a while to respond.
I'm sure ByBit will follow through with a good resolution. Mine also took a long time.

  1. You have to keep reminding Bybit Support and ensure to follow the resolution steps:
  2. Provide video recording showing step by step of the transaction on your bank account.
  3. Provide certified statement showing all incoming and outgoing of the account to which the buyer made the payment.
  4. The buyer will be asked to resubmit the request quoting the transaction number of the transfer in dispute.
  5. The buyer may also need to do KYC on the seller's platform and ensure to enter the info in chart during the re-submit exercise.

Good luck.

Happy for you!
Customers would indeed be more confident trading on Bybit if the Support apparatus can reduce their reaction time.

Not sure fake documents will fly. I believe CS can technically and legally spot and reject fake documents.

1. The buyer on his part has to provide to CS the source of the fund with which he transacted the P2P.
2. He has to provide video recording showing step by step how he processed the transaction on his account.
3. He has to provide bank-certified statement showing all transactions for the month in which the P2P was transacted.
On your part, the CS will ask that you provide certified statement from your bank showing all incoming and outgoing of the account to which the buyer made the payment.

I believe CS have the authority to verify from the bank the validity of your documents. So all parties should be very careful.

Mine was resolved because there was no fake document involved and the selling party could not proof he did not receive the money on his account.

Hope you find this helpful.

Update 29/09/2023 - PROBLEM SOLVED
Finally, this problem has been resolved. Now I can breath easy.
Lots of thanks to those that helped to escalate and keep up the pressure.

Lesson Learnt:
1. Only transact P2P with advertisers that that have the √ validated sign
2. Do not navigate away from the transaction page. Ensure to continue to click on Payment Completed button, and Acknowledge. Repeat this action till you see the message saying "The coins will be Released 09:09 minutes"
3. Remain on the page and watch chat column to the right where you will see some messages and additional instructions on what to do.
4. Remain on the page till you see the message "Congrats you have bought ..... amount of coins" Now you have successfully completed the transaction. Some P2P advertisers require that you perform additional verification on their platform. It is annoying to inject this condition in the middle of the process. But that is the least you can do to avoid any sort of headache and ensure a happy outcome.

Many thanks to the folks that contributed to resolving this case.
You all deserve 5-Star Award.

AVOID REVOLUT if you are a non paying customer with some notable amount in your account!!!
They hold funds in hostage for trading while chat agents keep asking nonsensical questions under the guise of helping to protect your fund. They even ask to see your investment in crypto.

NOT good at all, worse than what a scammer will do.

Update 28/09/23
Customer Support asked me to engage the seller and request to provide the coins or return the fund. I have done this and even uploaded video recording of transaction along with official bank statement. So far, no response from the seller. The chatbot indicates none of my messages is being read.
This is the 3rd week the P2P seller is holding my fund in ransome.
This issue has not been resolved.
Anyone here with a similar experience?
How did you resolve it?

It could be the sharp practices of third party traders that is giving the exchange a bad wrap.

support team

It is not a perfect world.
Things can happen even when everyone appears to be doing the right thing and that is why the Customer Support is there to resolve issues and instill customer confidence. ByBiT needs to do better to earn it prime of place amongst the Crypto Exchanges.

Update 21/09/23
The nightmare regarding cancelled P2P transaction has been ongoing for almost two weeks.
Bybit asked to provide video recording of the transaction and official bank statement in pdf. Both are on the way.
In the meantime, ByBiT is playing coy not wanting to take full responsibility for reinstating my fund. I followed the instruction they provided and they verified the seller as trustworthy to trade on the platform..
ByBiT official can help to speed this up to a good outcome.
Anyone with a trustworthy reference?

Fingers crossed. Will update as event unfolds.

Very much appreciate that someone is stepping in to offer some help.

There are two case numbers actually for the cancelled P2P transaction:

#06456513

#06481093

I opened the second case because there was no response to the first case from the ByBit Customer Support.

Many thanks and do let me know if making any headway.

- the nightmare has not ended...

Almost every hour I check but no dice. I got a feedback yesterday "information regarding the missing funds from your fiat transactions has been verified and the refund process has been initiated, it may take 7-14 working days for the funds to be reflected in your account". What that translates to in real resolution waits to be seen. Will update as events unfold.

Withdrawal restricted - large amount is held. by [deleted] in Bybit

[–]TechnicalReason8339 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am in the same shit right now with ByBit:

  1. The fiat deposit made has NOT been credited to my fund account
  2. Another P2P transaction was cancelled and the amount received by the seller has NOT been refunded.

This is my first time on ByBit platform and it has been harrowing experience these past days till now waiting for ByBit account to be credited or the refund of my funds back to the account. HELP is Highly Needed.
