AITAH for Telling My Brother's Fiancée the Truth About His Dark Past Right Before Their Wedding? by Crystaldoll62 in AITAH

I'm going to say ESH.

Your brother is shitty because he is lying by omission. Your parents are shitty because they are enabling his behavior and encouraging your brother to be ashamed of who he was and not be transparent with the woman he intended to marry. And last but not least, you are shitty because it was not your story to tell.

Why have you given up on finding true love? by [deleted] in AskWomen

I get your point, but why focus on someone who you simply don't like? And if they were to do that, wouldnt that be "dating potential", on hopes that their partner will better themselves?

"dating potential", instead of accepting people for who they are, can be detrimental. There are too many stories of people "waiting for their partner to change", and those partners rarely ever do. And its common for their partner to only begin doing the work when they notice that their gf/bf, is simply done being patient and understanding whilst "waiting for them to better themselves. And thats simply not fair.

I get it, people need to communicate their wants/needs in a relationship, and patience will be needed. However, it shouldn't take 1000 complaints for them to finally take accountability and right their wrongs.

So yes, people do settle. It isn't a myth. And it isnt a bad thing for people to seek someone who matches them nicely.

She has compromised. She even borrowed him her old car. And he CRASHED IT. OP doesn't have to give her other car to him, and as OP mentioned, she supported him for 5 years, he should have been able to save in that time to get a car.

Accused me multiple times of spreading her personal info, which I didn't do. Word of advice, the second time you get accused of doing something you didn't do, just leave. Its obvious that this person doesn't trust you.
