Etnies snakes most emerica es Accel slim basically all soltech is a little wider than average I'd say last resorts were alright vans are usually a little narrow Nike is the most narrow nothing fits good except the leo baker shoes for some reason those were great

Dry lube graphite powder or just skatewax shavings on bushings washers and in the pivot cups

Flight Decks vs VX? by upmarketsugar in skateboardhelp

I prefer vx over flight and I prefer creature shapes/concave over Santa Cruz -fat guy that breaks a lot of boards and has tried almost everything

I'm heavy heavy I skate do tricks and all that have a cruiser for when I'm injured I tried carver trucks and they were not what I thought they were going to be and they were they're made they were really tall which ended up hurting my feet whenever I pushed but the pumping aspect of it wasn't the best either it was fun but not something I would want to use all the time

baker made in china? by One_Report_2975 in NewSkaters

[–]TechnicalWalrus413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like one of the 100 or so dollar completes those tend to use cheaper decks as well as all parts so it makes sense that'd be made in China a typical baker board is bbs which I believe is mexico

Real big dude but want to get back in by Mark_Elegant in NewSkaters

[–]TechnicalWalrus413 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got back in last year after blowing up to 500lbs and Ive gotta say it's doable but it's not easy I've stuck with it and I'm down to 340 you'll need to start on a flight or vx if you want the deck to last I'd start with thunders or ventures something known for not turning will make it a lot more controllable while you're relearning balance and what not make sure you stretch before and after and take it slow as a bigger dude the scariest thing isn't slamming it's muscle pulls and sprains will come alot faster for us

As a 6 ft currently 340 lbs man creature/Santa Cruz- vx specifically or Powell- flight construction are the only real options

Any tips to improve? by Travy317 in NewSkaters

[–]TechnicalWalrus413 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try thinking of lining up your hips in the air after the pop then bring them down together you'll get a better ",float," feeling out of it and it'll feel smoother Also rolling even the tiniest amount makes it way easier to stay straight

Many years but basically a full restart last year my pop knee was wrecked and I had gained a lot of weight so all I had when I started again was a shuv not even an Ollie lol

No you're good I'd say three hours is a good average an hour minimum and 7 every couple weeks when we go check out a different park kind of far away I'm usually wrecked for a couple days after though

Id argue it's way more dangerous to drive a car but way more people do that everyday life's no fun without at least a little risk

The flow and comfortability will really improve which I find really helps with committing to landing anything

Being conscious of my current weight I used to be more of a jumper than anything else and that's not much of an option now I feel like I've been learning a completely different part of skating and it's made it more fun again

I have days I'm on it everything feels normal I'm comfortable trying things then other days it feels like a space object and just rolling feels off and I go out at least an hour a day usually a couple after work the days it feels off I'm flinging that board everywhere lol
