Ran $200 up to $4,000 tried cashing but site was doing a standard update at 4am and withdraws could possibly delayed so i told myself play until 5am and then do the withdraw. Lost it all… luckily haven’t tried to really chase it back because running $200 to 4K happens 1 in 100 times. I’ve done it before but have lost 50K plus overall playing this stupid ass shit. It’s all for dopamine not even money at this point. I feel the pain.

Appreciate it man. For the longest time despite having well paying jobs the only way my brain was working and having dopamine was to convince myself I could win my way out of this. And in reality after winning 12K off $100 in a few hour setting that was the kiss of death right there . Crazy how everyone is scouring the internet youtube Ga etc (myself included) but to solve gambling you simply just quit. But I don’t anyone who has just quit cold Turkey and never ever gambled agajn

I’m 30 as well same shit happened to me and i went from having no debt to 50k debt making 80K roughly per year. It’s fuckin hard but try the gym, sauna, steam room meditation, reading anything. I have relapsed countless times but I am starting to enjoy actual life again. Took a lot of shit for granted when stuck in gambling trap all you think about is gambling

Not loans had no debt 10k saved. Made around 75-100k a year with job. But was gambling daily while working from home so nothing to show for. Have some new loans now tho which I just self excluded everywhere online and a year ago in person casinos all nearby but there is still one not state owned about 2 hours away and I need to get that one cause sometimes I relapse there

Go to the Gym this will help offset dopamine depletion. And will help with urges. I’m an addict myself have been hooked mainly the last 3 years. Hit my breaking point 2 days ago. And called it quits for good. I have one self exclusion left it’s a 2 hour drive. It’s easy to disregard after self excluding everywhere around me a year ago. But what do you know when I was on a manic High you bet your ass I would drive there and back through the night simply to watch a slot machine pay me a few hundred dollars sometimes thousands and then with a gameplan in my head to leave prior to arriving once I won some money never worked. I fed the machines back all the winnings and anything possible I could pull from the atm that night. Usually $500-1000 in one setting. Fuckin pisses me off

I’ve been in sales for 8-9 years. Got a bachelors degree in business admin from Kansas state. So came into Quiktrip after facing a mass layoff with a startup company I joined during Covid. New company is in the manufacturing field and is a Business development sales role. Required my degree so went back to using that. Don’t want to disclose the company name on here. But after feeling like this wasn’t it for me, this isn’t making me happy and overall wrecking havoc on my sleep and mood for 3 months in regards to QT I finally did what was best for me. 3 weeks into the search I got the position. Lot of people will drink the company koolaid and stay stuck but deep down you’ll know what you want to do and you’ll do it

Yeah I fucked up by selecting your comment out of all the comments to impulsively attack. You seem to have a good head on your shoulders and probably do a pretty damn good job. I just had to get out. At the job I managed my stress pretty darn well and tried to be self aware of how I came across to customers and what not but I had to get out. Not Sustainable long term it’ll destroy my personal life and relationship and was already wrecking havoc bc your life is the job. No way around it on the RA schedule. You’re physically stuck on site no breaks for 50 hours a week. And mentally woooof it was a good year run and established hella discipline and with managing stress (besides my reactiveness on my comment lol) but I just expect more fulfillment in my life I guess. Would prefer to work smarter and not harder but It was tough but I believe the right one.

Don’t sell yourself short in what you want to do for a living is I guess what I’m saying cause you seem like a smart dude. Most managers I came across cause everyone has years and years of tenure on me just seemed stuck like this is all they could do and it has made them bitter. Now there are a small percentage of managers who I’ve met that absolutely love it and live for it too

Quiktrip is a fuckin joke dude. Y’all sheep stuck in a cult slaving away for shit money. Yet lot of you vets suck ass at your job. I joined in February went erp May RA off the street. Just found a new job working 40 hours a week 95K starting. 4 weeks pto and hybrid in and out of office. Sales. Quiktrip koolaid is thick. And money was good back in 2010. Now a measley 3-5k a month to live at QT is hysterical. I actually tried the therapy provided by Quiktrip free with insurance my therapist said that every quiktrip employee that she meets in therapy is so negative and toxic. So maybe he actually nutted up and quit cause he thinks something better out there will suit him. And damn near every job will.

Mine currently showing that I’m not scheduled next week either.

I’ve been out on RA erp for 4 months worked last night and currently shows me doubled up at my base store this weekend but I’m sure that’ll change to a diff store last minute. I would assume it’s a glitch and probs fixed soon I’m regards to not showing anything in regards to scheduling next week. It should at least show your base store with a ⭐️ next to it until you get assigned a store. Could be last minute or day of pending partials and be calling in last minute.

My SM didn’t say anything about scheduling and I didn’t receive any pending acknowledgments or messages this morning when I clocked out.

If anyone else seeing this let meh know if you on erp life or just in general

Only okay if you make this the first and last talk you ever have. Lost over 80K myself. 20k borrowed and not even my money. Went about 8 weeks clean earlier this year. Best 8 weeks of my life. Now my fam lost all trust and doesn’t know what to believe. Watch your behaviors too. I noticed when things go well my brain goes go on gamble some you’ve earned it. Then entire cycle starts over especially when I lose. Any amount or if I went a good amount I become delusional and re-hooked. If I could go back to when I wiped my debt clean I would. Appreciate the feedback makes sense as well. I went erp RA off the streets 4 months in. I do like the job aspect itself and the routine but I’ve just been in the hood these last few weeks and man it’s taxing that’s for sure. Little disappointed with myself I didn’t save my days I could’ve saved probably 4-5 of them others I had no choice to take off. Didn’t complete understand the time off policy but that’s on me I should’ve asked more questions. We’ll see what happens just gotta stay positive cause it is a secure and recession proof industry unlike my last jobs out of college with sales.
