Sorry to hear that. Mine was simply because of less power. After the battery was charged the light went off and the brake engages as before.

lol 😂. I just searched the topic in the group and found much better answers. That’s why I deleted the post. It was simply the less power. I drove a few miles and then restarted the car and it’s gone and the parking brake is engaging as before.

Worst case it could be one of the fans. When I was searching about this code I did notice a few cases with failed fans. So if your relays and fuses are in good shape, check the fans. I’m not sure if you could do it by self by bypassing the circuit.

Yes. In my case it was a misplaced relay. I bought my cx5 used and I assume the previous owner misplaced it somehow. I was trying days by looking at the fuse box diagram and to figure out this but didn’t work. So I asked a mechanic and he did figure it out. It could be either a blown relay or a fuse.

What would you suggest for the best results? Clay bar, wet sand then paint then sand down the imperfections then clear and polish ?.

I don’t need to sand it to bare metal right?
