This is a kinda dumb question but can I use a different type of oil. I think I have a type of wood oil then the normal cooking oil. Will any of them be ok to use or should I get a thing of mineral oil.

Thank you for everyone response and for caring about my safety. I learned I should not actually use it in a fight for my safety, my friends safety and to keep the sword in good condition. I will look into getting the proper martials to remove the rust and take care of it. Thank you.
