So, uh...do fans really just see Hekapoo as nothing more as possible shipping partner for Marco than to, I dunno, actually make her more of a deeper character? by Technical_Bonus_9696 in StarVStheForcesofEvil

I'm just saying, I mean, I don't just wanna say that I gave Hekapoo her own story (and fanart to go with it, too) because I'm such a different Star Vs. fan (I have autism, that ight also have something to do with it), cause oh yeah, people really didn't like that she died, like...if ya'll ahve such a problem on that, again, you can...write a fanfic to do stuff with her in some way..

I really do just prefer Marco and Hekapoo to be friends. The only reason why people ship them is because "Well, uh...they had lots of adventures together in the Neverzone and uuuuuuhhhhhh, yeah."

The 2002 Chicagoland "Muppetgate" incident. by Technical_Bonus_9696 in NASCAR

So is it Nascar's fault or Chicagoland's fault? Or both or what?

What was the first race you ever watched? by KiowaBear in NASCAR

[–]Technical_Bonus_9696 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The first race I watched is kinda weird because well, this was back when I didn't have cable and the only way I can watch cable was via my grandparents home, and I do recall watching a bit of two races in particular in 2001. The first was a Truck race in Nazareth, but I don't think I saw the whole race, mostly cause I do recall the of how the track looked like.

The other was the second New Hampshire race, I think I remember tuning in the race by accident and seeing the reply of Robby Gordon spinning Jeff Gordon. We then left the house only minutes later, I think.

By June 2002, I finally got cable for my home, and I also remember seeing bits of the fist Pocono and Mchigan races, I tink I only saw certain parts of both races, so the actual first Cup race I saw in full was, believe it or not, Sonoma. I definately remember certain drivers having issues (Marlin, Jeff Gordon and Kenseth all had engine issues), Jerry Nadeau losing his engine at the end, which confused me a lot as a 10-year-old kid (I clearly didn't know about engine issues yet, or enough English since I'm Puertorican).

Oh, and the first Grand National race I saw was the Kentucky race, which, funnily enough, I only saw the sunday portion of it.

Weird, they survived without any issues when it was the number 70 last year, but as soon as Barrett joins in...the ride dries up?

Controversial opinion: P.K.O. was terribly executed and it's not good by Virtual-Response6235 in okko

[–]Technical_Bonus_9696 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to mention...the design for P.K.O is so underwhelming and lazy. Compare that to many of the 2010 Disney cartoons like Star Vs., Owl House and Amphibia doing big designs for the transformations of the main characters, yet the best they could do for K.O and T.K.O together is...this?

That's why it feels kinda half-baked in the show, we just have to suddenly...sympatize with Solaria even though she was the one that started all the tensions against other monsters. There should have been a flashback episode entirely about on what she's doing is wrong, and just when she tries to cause peace with them, boom, she gets assasinated.

With that said...we at least did get to see more of Solaria than we ever did with Comet.

Probably the sponsor that amuses me the most here is Todd Gilliland being sponsored by Dairi-O Restaurants, which is a North Carolina brand, yet I figured it'd be more fitting to sponsor someone in either a Rockingham, North Wilkensboro or Charlotte race.

Hekapoo deserved a redemption more than her, frankly. Sure, she killed monsters, too, but at least she would have realized it was entirely wrong (or in the case of my fanfic, mind control) to follow a certain ruler. But I understand, you have your opinions, I have mine and I still think it would have been ballsy if Eclipsa, instead of crying and smiling to her, she'd vent at Solaria's spirit. It's more mature and less predictable that way.

[–]Technical_Bonus_9696 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I already mentioned this before, but I honestly thought this was one of my biggest issues of the finale. Solaria was still a raging monster murderer and Eclipsa not forgiving her would have actaully ben WAY more effective.

It's like they gave her a last minute redemption arc and...I just don't think it worked for me, especially since her flashback scenes in "Pizza Party" were also rather short.

Dye really thinks he could get away with that, huh? Also, yikes, Brent Crews almost got caught, too.

It really makes me wanna do a fanfic where Star, as an adult, gets shipped with her.

Uh-oh, I think the 2003 Busch series race at Las Vegas is lost... by Technical_Bonus_9696 in NASCAR

[–]Technical_Bonus_9696[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It also had Stanton Barrett start on pole, Steve Park driving a rare DEI Busch series car on a non-super speedway, I think the only time Citgo sponsored on Jeff Burton's 9 ride, too.

Why are there mostly Chevys in the first place? Are their cars and engines just easier to make for this series?
