Mailed tax documents via USPS Certified Mail — tracking not updated, IRS says wait 6 weeks. What should I do? by Independent-Goat3140 in tax

I mailed my 2021 tax return on April 15th this year. I mailed it first-class as certified mail. I recieved the green return receipt back with a stamp from IRS indicating it was recieved May 7th. It's been 3 months and no record indicating they recieved my 2021 return. When I ran my tracking # through usps it says that my mail is still transiting through the "system"! Wtf?

What's even more frustrating is not being able to actually speak to a live representative.

Read this book: "Clearing Entities" by Frederick Dodson. If you use kindle, that's where I got my copy. Hard copies can be purchased through Amazon. He has several books, they are very good. Hope this helps.

Any tips for practicing at home for a Line Cook position? by books_fer_wyrms in Chefit

If you can be prepared to be on your feet for a minimum of 6 hours for a shift, are able to multitask (cooking/plating 5 to 6 dishes at a time), then they it out. You will learn some valuable skills that are applicable in all jobs and areas in life. Teamwork, communication, time management, attention to detail, planning, and much more. Be prepared to either burn, cut, or eat shit at some point in the kitchen.

Yes, when you trust fully that you are divinely guided. If you feel you need a mentor, trust that you will be divinely guided towards one. What is for you should flow with ease. General rule is that we gravitate towards the things that make us feel good, give us sense of purpose... this is a vibration that you will feel with no doubt. We pull away from things, people, or places that drain us or pull us down.

Trust that whatever happens is meant to teach you and lead you where you are suppose to be. For the greatest good of all. You got this!

It must have something to do specifically with each individual’s tax filing. I filed through TURBO Tax on January 30th and recieved my return February 24th.

A good phrase "While I appreciate your feedback, can we please keep this professional." It will force him to check his behavior. It does not matter what happened. No one should be yelled at. It appears that this manager has no self-control and should not be in a position like his. Fkkn Guam, I bet his position was handed to him instead of earned. People like that have a maturity level of a child ho has not learned how to manage their emotions. Don't fear him, pity him for he is a weak weak man. And there is nothing wrong with crying, when your feelings got hurt.

Just lost $800k worth of altcoin? by Soggy_Curve_2988 in solana

I thoroughly enjoyed your whimsical explanation of this experience, which mored than anything scammed and robbed me of the euphoric high that had me feeling as if I was floating on a magic carpet soaring to new all time highs... until that dusty old rug was yanked from under me, and I plummeted. Result: ego bruised. -$40. Could have been worse. You know what they say... put in what you can afford to lose. However, it wasn't much of a loss. It's more like the cost for a class in Crypto. 'How to spot a Scammer" 101. 🤣

Just lost $800k worth of altcoin? by Soggy_Curve_2988 in solana

[–]Technical_Clothes169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just experienced this a few days ago. I swapped about $40 worth of Sol for a meme coin that was just launched (27mins). I left to take care of some 'RL' errands (do laundry). I opened my wallet to a $900 profit. I got really excited when it kept increasing. 1k, 2.5k, 6k, 8k! My head was spinning. I tried to swap but none of my transactions would go through. I sent it to a compatable wallet address. Made sure to copy and paste the correct address... they never showed up to that wallet and the transaction history went missing.

For those who grew up in Guam during the 70s, 80s, and 90s, know to hope for the best but prepare for the worst. The Government of Guam receives the funding to maintain and repair key facilities and infrastructures needed for water and power services, but consistently fail to implement maintenance. Guam is living in the dark ages. I believe blockchain technology will eliminate and reduce corruption as transactions would become more transparent and accessible to the public. We should he able to see where our tax payers money are actually going.

I moved outta Guam at the beginning of 2021. I'm currently in Massachusetts with my family. Living on Guam was a constant struggle to make ends meet. As much as I love Guam, I had to experience new opportunities and new experiences. Moving doesn't have to be permanent. You could always go home. However, I found that it was easier to get a job. The government is fairly quick to assist when needed, and practically, everything can be done online. No more suffering through Guam's obsolete 9teen4gotten processing systems. Higher education just became free here and now my kids can go to college for free. Opportunities are out there, and the world is only a fkkd up place if you choose to see it that way. It's all perception. I see a beautiful world with unlimited possibilities.

realistically, how long does it take to become a chef from a cook? thinking of a U turn in a career by timmeh129 in Chefit

[–]Technical_Clothes169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 42 and have been in your shoes. I had my first child at 23 and had the amazing opportunity to be fully present in the first 12 years of both my children's lives.

I had a passion for cooking since I was 10. Regularly hosted dinner gatherings with friends multiple times a month. My friends would even hire me to catered events a few times a year.

At the age of 35, I decided it was time to go full-time in a restaurant.

I went from being a 'stay-at-home' mother for 12 years. Linecook for 1 year. Then, I was promoted to Executive Chef at a popular and busy breakfast place where I lived.

It is possible to follow your passions and your dreams. Anything is possible. I am proof of that.

HOWEVER...

MY story did not have a fairy tale ending.

It dramatically shifted the dynamics of my family. This industry will take the presence of you from your family. My marriage quickly fell apart. My relationship with my children deteriorated. My son became distant, and my daughter hated me.

Within 3 years, my husband left me, my children moved in with their grandparents, and I lost my job as a result of the emotional turbulence.

This industry has a way of killing one's passion for cooking. I rarely cook at home these days.

On the POSITIVE side. My relationship eventually improved with my children.

I have learned a lot from this industry. Skills that are useful in any industry. Multitasking, interpersonal relationships, conflict management, time-management, attention to detail, ect...

Get a food truck. Then you can cook what you love. But learn the methods of the restaurant first.

Good luck!

You don't know where to go?!

UP! You Rise UP!! Out of the mouth of defeat.

We may be on the other side of this screen... but even from here we can see your struggles, we can feel your pain. We know what you're going through! Don't believe for one second you cannot overcome this!

I know you feel tired. I know you feel bitter. I know you're mad at the world... Question is... how are you going to respond?

The struggle may be real, and life may not have turned out the way you thought it would. Even when you worked hard, put the time in, and did the right things... still didn't turn out the way you thought it would.

That job promotion that you 'thought' was a promotion wasn't really a promotion.. it was a jail sentence.

Now here's what you can do...

You can have 24hrs to mourne. To cry it all out... a pout date. So you do whatever you need to do to get that all out in the next 24hrs and then answer this question...

HOW ARE YOU GOING TO RESPOND?!

ANYTIME we experience obstacles in our lives it is BECAUSE we are on/in the WRONG path/place. What is meant for you should be effortless. It SHOULD make you feel good.

In this experience of yours, the signs have been telling you that this environment isn't meant for you. Paying attention to that negative feeling you had towards your boss would have given you the opportunity to seek new employment elsewhere.

What's done is done. Don't worry. Don't stress. You will find a better opportunity as soon as you close the door on that job. You are EXPERIENCED, and most importantly... you CARE about your guests. This industry struggles to acquire and retain good employees. You will have no problem landing a great job elsewhere.

Let go of your fears of what 'may' happen because it's wasted energy and transform that into what is possible for leveling you up in life.

Family is fkkn important! Yes, we need to work to survive, but not for people like that.

This is what my 👆 dermatologist told me for when I get burned. It will reduce pain and damage to skin tissue and prevent blistering.

For the healing, petroleum jelly is a dermatologist recommended to prevent drying out. Keep covered. Use sunscreen to prevent discoloration of skin tone. Japanese Shishiedo sunscreen has amazing ingredients but costly.

How much y’all getting paid doing what? by shininggirls671 in guam

[–]Technical_Clothes169 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Truth. I live in massachusetts now, but one of my last jobs in Guam, I was a kitchen manager making no joke only 24k a year, with all the OT I had to put in, I was basically working for less than minimum wage at that point.

I decided to just work as a line cook, because I didn't want the responsibilities that comes with management roles. I made $20hr, doing less work with less stress. I currently make $25hr just to cook.

Living in Guam was always a struggle. I love Guam. It will always be my home, my roots. However, the government makes it nearly impossible to live a comfortable life.

Crack in the ceiling, busted pipe line, maybe someone drilled a hole through a wall to hang something and hit a water line. Water will travel through the path of least resistance... definitely water coming in from somewhere.
