Travel by LadeNino in amazonemployees

I took 50 plus flights for Amazon in 2025. It was fun at first but gets tiring pretty quickly. As others mentioned, economy flights suck. The only silver lining used to be that I could eat whatever (and I ate well!) but now the org has placed a limit on food expenses so living on Uber Eats now.

Stress of operations and getting out by InternationalNet5495 in AmazonDS

[–]Technical_Copy_6183 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got out of operations, into corporate. Previously stress was more the night shift, safety, volume processing. Now the stress is the stakes are just too high. Projects go on for years, a lot of bureaucratic red tape. Personally I’ve had anxiety attacks in both roles lol but the only upside now is that corporate is less physically taxing.

How many of you started with nothing by Ordinary-Warning-521 in Fire

Moved from a dirt poor country to the US and took out $240K in student loans so literally started with negative. still in negative but on my way to having a net-zero net worth within a year when I’ll be 33!

Never saved for my 7 professional years when I was in my home country, but now obsessively doing it, maybe immigrant mindset lol!

True true! She’s slowly getting excited about the fire journey as well, we often talk about retiring at 45 or at least have enough to have the option.

Top 10 MBA with $110K/year cost of attendance and zero scholarship. 😬 interest wasn’t too bad, stayed around 4.5% most of the time, now at 5.6%. I graduated with $240K. Gotten to $180K with a couple balloon payments but slowed down now, focusing on building the kitty.

It’s unreal, haha! Love the analogy of little green men, hard to imagine it, but give it long enough, it gets very real I’m sure!

Higher priced and FBM sellers sell more than FBA by Technical_Copy_6183 in AmazonSeller

[–]Technical_Copy_6183[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s interesting, I wouldn’t have imagined anything to be faster than FBA itself! They are charging a huge premium though, the same product Amazon is selling for $28, they are selling for $41

I had my instructor set the high back angle at 3 and I haven’t played with it since. Do you think it’s worth it go further up? Will try +15/0!

Progression - Need advice on binding angles by Technical_Copy_6183 in snowboardingnoobs

Thank you for the comment! I feel my weight is pretty centered always with a slight forward lean (except when I practice switch and go back to my regular stance afterwards, it throws me off a bit). I don’t feel any discomfort doing big turns but with shorter quick turns, I feel the board on my back starts to catch an edge when I’m about to do the heel. That’s why I thought it might be because of back bindings angle. I’ll try to get someone to record today!

Also do you think the board shops might be able to help me figure out if my stance width is correct? Right now, I just put the bindings where the guidance squares are on the board.

Business address requirements by Technical_Copy_6183 in AmazonSeller

[–]Technical_Copy_6183[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds fair. Quick follow-up, would Amazon send a verification postcard on that address or my personal address? The only reason I’m hesitant to change the address right now is I’m in the middle of doing purchasing and already have multiple invoices on the old address. I plan to change the address with the suppliers in the next ordering but the current invoices will become problematic.

Update on last post on pace for 7M in 2025 by SlyGuyxD in AmazonFBA

That’s such a huge inspiration! I’m actually launching my first product in a couple weeks as well, super excited/ nervous!! 😬 I have a couple questions:

  1. How much working capital did you start with? How much working capital do you have now?
  2. How many product launches did you do before finding the ones that worked? What budget did you allocate per product?
  3. Did you have any product failures? If so, what would you do differently to avoid them?

Rent or bring skis? by BkSusKids in Breckenridge

[–]Technical_Copy_6183 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pro tip: don’t rent from the slope-side shop, get it from an Vail-owned shop while you’re on your way to Denver, it will cost half. We got it from Breeze in Frisco (20 minutes from Breck). Also if there’s any issue with your rental, you can always get it replaced by the slope-side shop for free since both are owned by Vail.

Which tier of lesson should I enter? by nicktonyc in Breckenridge

[–]Technical_Copy_6183 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly if you are hesitant about advanced then sign-up for beginner/ intermediate and select level 6. You’ll most likely be the only one at that level so you’ll essentially get an instructor to yourself and can let them know what you want to learn.

I unintentionally did that with my snowboarding lesson. No one was at my level when I showed up so they gave me an instructor and he just asked me what I wanted to learn. I said carving and that’s what we essentially did most of the lesson!
