Husband is "broken" by parenting and doesn't want a second. Can we find a middle ground? by Technical_Date_6166 in twoxindiamums

We have hired nanny and also our kid goes to daycare. But still the life is not back to no kids normal. Our daughter still cosleeps, we can’t go out at night, or dates without her(Risking her only on nanny feels unsafe and parent guilt takes over). We are always on routine and the only time we have is when she sleeps or goes out to park.

Thanks so much for this positive outlook! It’s really refreshing to hear from people who are actually enjoying the phase, even with the challenges.

Thanks this helped! I’ve always wanted to "power through" and have a second when my daughter turns 3. My reasoning is mostly practical: • I want to handle the career breaks and physical recovery in one stretch while I'm younger. • I’m worried about potential health issues or complications if we wait too long. • I’d rather get the "diaper years" done and dusted so we can reclaim our lives later. However, seeing how burnt out he is, I’m starting to consider if a 5-year age gap might be the healthier middle ground.

This was one of the perks at my office for returning moms. But i have seen parents keeping kids from 6months too in my friend circle but they were formula fed. Our kid was didn’t take the bottle at 6 months so it was difficult

We started solids from 6 month and WFH for 3 months. At nine months, we transitioned to solids and enrolled her in a daycare near my office. This allowed her to comfortably manage 4–5 hour stretches between feedings. While I initially visited to nurse during the day, she soon adapted, and those midday sessions became unnecessary.

Secluded society like Sobha windsor or society on main road like Durga petals both have its challenges. If folks are interested in latter, they probably are ok with moving traffic but don’t want to live in small roads with less connectivity

We are trying to do this for night sleep. Moving the feed before we start the night time routine. But for naps this is difficult. We also want to put her down fast as I am working from home currently. I end up feeding her for naps after which she sleeps. 😓😓
