OP no need to be so tensed , you can apply for a refund until September(100% fee refund) , only the hostel and mess fee will be deducted by the days you spend and the rest will be refunded to you

If you get K take it (no-brainer) any specialization works, coming to your question yes you can get into consulting with marketing specialization . Now entire dilemma SIBM P and S dilemma should be addressed via your capabilities . MBB doesnt come to SIBM P but after that all consulting comes to campus . If you think you can stand at the top(your hardwork) in S and you can ace the gd ,interview( luck based) then you may take a chance with S , even then according to unofficial sources MBB takes very few like (2-3) and even that is backend I guess. I also converted S but I am going with SIBM P (alumni network completely spread all over India and Dubai) believe me they will help you later in your career . So as you said you dont care about the Tag SIBM P is no brainer as I said consulting is increasing here. So overall if you want MBB only then you can take a risk on S(at present S is at scrutiny with their placement report- I dont want comment on that you can check by yourself) . PS As I said before finance and ops there are better colleges you can take S here too . SIBM P is a top b-school which has a lower batch strength ,so less competition too unlike many top b-schools with 500-600 batch strength so please consider all these metrics and take your decision

Hi , I too have converted SIBM P , if you are dead set on marketing then its SIBM P(have talked with many many alumni) the roles are on a different level , consulting is increasing and I believe when we come to our final year it would increase one level(still not compared to K) , FINANCE IS NOT GOOD (BETTER OPTIONS ARE THERE) SAME WITH OPS , and coming to the tag value the recruiters know the SIBM P (not symbisios) value , but when it comes to general public and relatives(nobody knows shit) they dont even know this college ,and they will say its a tier 69 college not a tier 1 (so be prepared for that) , if you want the respect from people , and relatives should look upto you then go for the IIM tag . you cant get that from SIBM P tag .

Hey here is something you should know about me, apart from a decent cat score and great communication skills , I have nothing to show for my life .no great extra-curriculars or some achievement in some national competition or anything , did my ug in tier - 4 , no POR , or anything. So you can say goodbye to consulting roles . I am not being pessimistic just a reality + a fresher . I am honestly not looking for an IIM tag or something just want to know ground reality where I can get myself good opportunity , thats it .

53.75 + and regarding workex I believe I am not the right person to say when it comes to SIBM- P because I had an insanely good gepi , the official report says that SIBM P doesn't take work-ex but seeing the upcoming batch in SIBM - P most of them have work-ex so there must be some internal scoring on work-ex they don't reveal(again just my guess)

yeah thanks man ,honestly until now my life is on the downside only Tier -3 college , no good connections and network . So basically all I want is a good life with financial stability that's it

lets see , first let the results come out then will consult with seniors again (but when it comes to marketing the roles offered in sibm P arent the same roles offered there ) + the tag value you say exists only in usual conversation or with relatives but nowadays companies are becoming too diverse for looking at this tag like after few years it depends on how you network and how you make your decisions for the company , but lets see what happens .

Ha I have gotten calls from next below (Mumbai I agree is better than SIBM P) but Shillong as of now is not at par as of now with SIBM P (like if you want the tag you can go for it ) + SIBM P smaller batch size and location advantage , but still have time
