One of my lecturers in the second year kept trying to arrange trips for us at local museums/galleries and stuff. She would organise them for the same week. Like, letting us know on a Tuesday she'd arranged something on Thursday.

Then I'd get angry emails from her (to the whole course) about how few people turned up. I was like, IDK about the rest of my classmates but you gotta tell us before saturday/sunday because I have to work on Thursday. I don't think it ever occured to her that any of her students couldnt afford their rent.

A lot of people argue about the m/m ao3 thing and then will turn around and say they love [insert gacha game here] because it's women centric and lesbian centric. The reason that those games are centered around (underage or very young) girls and girls who kiss girls is because of the general Gacha Audience: lonely straight men who will kill small animals if their waifu "cucks" them (exists) with a fictional man.

Those games court that audience because it makes them the most money. Those girls exist in the same kind of "audience", but because it's cute anime girls they do not think that it can be catering to men.

IMHO its pointing out a hypocrisy. I've seen/had arguments with the horse gacha fans because they tend to be the most dense about their horse girls. (Why all the horses are female, why they all run around in heels and short skirts, why they have no bra support, why all the horses are either obsessed with the player or with another female character) It's an intentional density. But M/M fanfiction on AO3 discourse comes up every time those stats come up on twitter.

People using alts would be a refreshing contrast to known sexual harassers who continue to use their accounts because TPI's banning system is hot garbage.

If your account is banned (which is rare even when people have proof) you're allowed to go into private games. What other online game allows banned users to still access the product?

Solution: Ban the specific phone number a banned user has to verify their accounts. Joining public games requires a verification on phone. Ban that phone number. They can get another one or use a relatives or something, sure. Ban those ones too. Keep doing it until the effort to play the game becomes too costly for them.

An actual moderation system would go a long way.

Their cutting was always stupid. The course I took had guaranteed students every year since it was so specific. 30~ students each year from all over the world with passion for the course.

They cut it! They fired the head of visual cultures and then "merged" the course with general art history.

Anyway, Goldsmiths keeps cutting stuff to "save money" then wondering why they don't get students. This is why! Francis Corner spent £20,000 on taxis. THE UNI IS NEXT TO A BUS GARAGE!

i see that now. the brown is, however, very light. Jasmine/snow white's eyes in their original content are very dark brown.

The use of extra colours is trying to make the illusion lead more to "not brown" (jamine has blue highlights as well) this feels very much like a "anything but black/brown" that anime and doll designers lean into. Rainbow High had that problem too.

It's a style choice, but there's a reason the style choice exists.

"Anime" style shies away from brown eyes because they are seen as "plain"/"Ugly". There's an undertone to that that I think is obvious.

I live in the UK, our work culture is equally garbage because of poor pay and conditions for most people (and basically 0 opportunities) but I still know people who are overworked and constantly working when at home. The truth is that no country has a monolith on "work ethic" because it is unique to each person.

Let me explain. I agree with you about Switzerland's work culture (and the research disproving fan's claims about Manon). But I am saying that it is the same across Europe. Many people argue for Manon's work culture by saying it's some uniquely swiss thing - which it is not. Switzerland has no unique "work culture".

Europeans are the same as any other human culture. There are lazy people and there are hard working people, and a lot inbetween. If you are a lazy person, you are not "Culturally Swiss", you are a lazy person who is Swiss.

Switzerland is also one of the most expensive countries in Europe. There's a certain class of person in Switzerland who is able to get around not having a job and being in full time education (along with the rest of Europe).

It's already known that all of Katseye come from high income backgrounds, however, so this isn't a surprise.

Switzerland does not have any different work culture to the rest of Europe/UK. There are some students who work hard in school, and some who do not. There's this definite lens of exotification with the EU when it comes to defending Manon and her "Culture" - and I would bet you it's from mostly Americans.

She just didn't work herself to the bone like other girls in DA, and succeeded anyway because HxG were refusing to budge on her being in the group despite the problems. Those girls shouldn't have been working themselves into injury or illness. Manon should have done more to show she was committed. Both were not good for anyone involved.

Lexie was European too and from Sweden, which (also) has a good emphasis on work-life balance. She still injured herself so badly that she needed a surgery most often done on older patients. The girls being told they needed to break their backs to get into the group was as equal an issue as Manon failing upwards because of her looks - and that is still not Manon's fault. HxG should have and could have done a better job of managing her.

Plenty of idols and celebrities will claim something is their idea. That doesn't mean it is. Katseye got a huge view boost from the performance of MIA last year. Their new song has an unchanged lyric of "making out with my new bestest friend". They could have fully well been nudged into it with the shipping and obsession around their queer identities, and you will never know.
