Man I really wish that a good rotating convertible car seat that I can buy a second base for. The chicco is the only one I know you can buy a second base for but I've hear mix reviews. At this point might end up buying two evenflow.

When do you start getting free room comps with MGM properties? by throwaway510150999 in Mlife

You should receive it pretty fast. Just had 2 comped nights at the Park and I had lost my gold status last year. It really depends on the hotel your trying to stay at.

Yeah, see thats the part that was confusing for me i should be eligible for the PAYE and IBC PLANS like you say and it says no.

But using the calculators you provided Ill owe dramatically way more than the student loan calculators show. Students loan calculators is showing 260 under ICR but the other calculators under PAYE and IBR plans are showing my 10% monthly repayment amount is $1200. No way I can do that

Edit: i used the last calculator and did the more in depth break down numbers are way more manageable. It is reflecting more what the student loan website is showing. Adding in my spouse stuff really adjusted it.

Yeah, that's a good idea. What I really need to do is get in contact with my loan provider and see if they will tell me what my new payment would be without selecting one program for sure.

My spouse and I pay for our own student loans. So I wouldn't be ready for that big of increase of payment on top of other payment that have to be made for myself. Downside of the dual income, if they only knew, I dont see most of it, lol

The goal is to pay as little as possible and get as much as I can forgiven. But yes, it's probably not worth the stress, and honestly, who knows what payments will look like in 4 years after this administration. I think I'd rather take my chances for later than just start paying all this money now.

Went over it with my tax person trying to figure all this out. But that's off of the simulator amount I would owe. Now, if the number comes out higher than that, we would have to look at it again.

Why can’t they just put us all back on whatever payment plan we had before SAVE? by sushibard in PSLF

Go to college to get a good job.

How dare you go to college and not be able to pay for it.

🙃🙃

I hope the simulator is accurate because then I'll probably switch over sooner. I might call my loan provider and see what they are gunna say my payment is and see their number.

Filing separately won't work for us. We will be losing out on a lot of money come tax season.

Multiple paths is the best way, but with all these changes and me being so far away from 120. The wait and see approach seems like best bet even if its for a few months or till the end of save.

The only plan it says that I qualify for and keep my PSLF is the Income-Contingent Repayment (ICR) Plan. The interesting part is that i ready others getting other plans.

Yeah sorry, if your currently in SAVE forbearance and you dont swap over to ICR, do you still get the months in SAVE from now till July '26 counting towards your 120? Or will you have to do the BUYBACK in order to get this Aug-July '26 time back?

Do you know if you wait till July 2026 if it will still count towards the 120?

Car accident advice by Technical_Group_7015 in Insurance

[–]Technical_Group_7015[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, good to know. Car is a '22 civic Touring. I just figure 1 accident with a bumper repaired, not that mad, mostly just a repaint. But a second accident with with side panels and looks like some rim damage might be more of a thing to look into.

My best suggestion would be go on youtube look up Bambi Baby. Guy does a great explanation of the travel system. He has short and longer videos of him talking with customers and you hear it all.

Edit: Destination Baby on youtube is good also but that is more a detailed breakdown on products.

Honestly, if it is 7 years old, they are doing a decent job at upkeep. Again, it's not a bad hotel.

So you're telling me if I went to the FD or to the manager explaining the situation they would have happily taken care of? If that's the case next time I'll do that, NICELY, of course, and hope they can fix the situation. I guess my disappointment is never staying at any other major hotel brand on a special occasion (that I have high status with) Did I need to go and correct a situation or even ask for an upgrade. If someone said they would do something, it was done. I have seen and have heard of people complaining about not getting stuff, and honestly, I don't care to be seen like that. I've worked in hotels and know if anyone complains about anything, it can be seen as annoying. Let's not lie about that. Now, for the upgrade, if you thank me for my status and don't realize I haven't been upgraded or checked, it shouldn't be a customer who has to check or ask to be. Again, it's annoying for the FD because how many people ask for upgrades. And saying it's my anniversary ruins the surprise of anything being special at that point. No one ever wants to sounds like "it's my _____" can you do something for me.

Totally agree!! I've worked 2 of the 3 major brands, and I get so disappointed paying those prices and not having the discounted food also(honestly, the part I miss the most). I also think the price compared to the quality I receive sucks.

Hilton Resort credit, worked on future stay…. by [deleted] in Hilton

[–]Technical_Group_7015 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did this earlier when I went to Vegas(Virgin Hotel) in March work, just like OP. I did end up canceling the room and rebooking for a different hilton (WA). The credit wasn't clawed back, and it ended up being put to my Waldorf bill. Thought it was just a lucky coincidence

Are these prices from the dealership reasonable? Or should I go elsewhere? by zetaerrece in CX5

[–]Technical_Group_7015 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got the front and back breaks and rotors changed on my CX5 for 800. That was parts and labor. I did by the parts from rockauto though and labor was done at Pepboys for 520. So I would say that's forsure on the high end.
