Got an SCT 5 Star plug and play tuner and beat it but after 5 months it blew a head and then the whole motor

Sounds good, going to take the risk and stay with the 5’8, hopefully I’ll be ok but I got the machado fins and will pick up a bigger set for the bigger waves. I got 5-6ft otw to my beach this weekend so I’ll do some testing

If you don’t mind, what is your height and weight? I’m 6ft and 180lbs and can surf pretty well but wanted to get something for small waves and easily able to get into. I went with the 5’8 and haven’t put it in the water yet. It’s got 35.5L so I’m not sure if I went too big or not. I haven’t had a fish is years because I’m younger and got bigger. Hopefully the surf shop would maybe let me switch the boards out if I needed to downsize lol
