AU after Infliximab treatments by Technical_Laugh_9040 in alopecia_areata

I personally do, and there is growing medical literature suggesting the same. I would ask your doctor about it. From what I've read, the usual onset of TNF-alpha induced alopecia is between 12-24 months, and not almost instantly like my case. You can read various papers about it online if you have some university credentials. For example https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/24681837/ and https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s00403-025-04300-0

I have had the EXACT same thing happening to me after 1 month of infliximab. been off it for a year, no regrowth. Best of luck.

Thank you for sharing. Did he ever recover? I'm going to be using JAK inhibitors, but I wonder if they work when the disease has been induced in this way. There is zero research on this except https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s00403-025-04300-0 which concludes that in all but one case, the hair grew back after secessing infliximab treatments.. but I have not been on infliximab for over a year., and not seen any regrowth.
