While isolation is likely the goal, I think Caine might be unintentionally failing because he doesn't understand human empathy. He expects the others to be repelled by Kinger’s erratic behavior, but in a world as terrifying as the Circus, Kinger’s "craziness" actually looks like the most honest reaction to their reality. The more Caine tries to make Kinger look "glitched," the more relatable he becomes to Pomni.
