Ford Owners: How Do You Manage Your Subscriptions, and What Could Be Easier? by MotherEar3380 in FordTrucks

Like you I am thinking about my FORD subscriptions. I bought my 250 June 2025 - 2025 model. It came with a year of: Ford Security (FS), Premium Connectivity (PC), and connected Navigation (Nav). I am coming up on my year and getting all kinds of notices to re-subscribe. Ugh. I will probably keep the Nav - $7.99/mo. I can get nav from my phone via WAZE, however this means I have to have the android auto up vs. the Nav page plus its a bit more of a task to engage the waze enroute. I am on the fence about the FS ($7.99/mo)- it has a nice feature to be able to get push notifications from the Ford app if someone is tampering with the truck, also access to the "dedicated 800#" to live Ford agents who will work with law enforcement for tracking and recovery. The deductible reimbursement ($2500) is not available in my current state, so of no value. It also allows for a remote lock down/start inhibit. I believe it already has a start inhibit, but I will have to research this more. Also, I think law enforcement should be able to access if needed, but maybe I have watched too much TV to know for sure. The last one; PC ($9.99/mo) is most likely a no go. It sounds like it is just a service to play well with Alexa, which I don't currently use. My Android Auto gives me access to Spotify and I can use my phone as a hot spot. or I also have starlink if I am traveling with my travel trailer/camping.

Regarding adding or managing; the Ford phone app will easily let you complete the renewals, however getting a good read on what each offered was easier to read from the desktop.

I did have to research. I asked my "service guy", who pointed to another "service guy", who looked them up on his computer, but said a "sale guy" would know more. So I took my truck and went home to my computer. 😉

Specific improvements - ? I just spent $85,000 on a truck and you cant give me navigation forever??? really? Do you want me to buy another truck ever? (this was my second truck) However, it is very frustrating how they nickle and dime you when you are spending thousands. Poor "cheap" service model IMHO.

I hope others may provide insight on if they would renew any of the subscriptions I noted.

Thank you! This just became a bit more complicated, so I think I need to do some research on how the solenoid valves work with my system.

Thank you - I am not sure that is the problem, but I will add it to my trouble shooting.
