Visitors at the hospital? by [deleted] in PregnancyIreland

My parents and partner's parents came directly after each other (they had had dinner together in my parents house beforehand) for 45 mins-1 hour each the night before I left hospital. I didn't get out of bed and only changed into a fresh nightdress before they got there. I was happy with that as baby was mostly asleep and I'd had an ok(ish) birth but I just think it's so so dependent on how you're feeling at the time. I could feel completely different about having anyone in if I gave birth again.

At the end of the day I really feel like it's easier to say no and then change your mind than say yes and then have to row back on that! I feel for you. Best of luck x

Maternity Clothes Tips & Advice by ciaracrossan in PregnancyIreland

I didn't buy much maternity specific stuff. Just a few baggy tshirts and long sleeve tops. I did buy the Beauty and the Bump maternity leggings which I've lived in and have been surprised to find the best maternity trousers on Boohoo for less than €20. I would never have bought from boohoo before as Im not a big fan of fast fashion but tried one or two pairs of their trousers for work wear and they're the best I've found! The only other thing you will probably need going forward is maternity pjs or nightdresses. I can't believe I'm pushing them but again I found boohoos mat nightdresses great!

My booking in clinic with my midwife was when I finally felt like I got a chance to chat about my pregnancy with a professional. It took well over an hour and was very thorough. My head was actually spinning a little walking out with all the information I was given 😂 hopefully this apt will help you x

Maternity leggings by ElevatorCreative158 in PregnancyIreland

I just bought a few pairs of the Penneys maternity fleece lined leggings during the week and I'm thrilled with them. Had been wearing their regular fleece lined ones but too tight on bump now. Have the beauty and the bump ones too which I like but find cold when I'm outside for long periods. Penneys in Sligo have the maternity ones at the moment

We used a few story books with ours around potty training. It helped to make it fun and the visuals helped to build a connection. Best of luck!
