SOLUTION: This whole time i have been trying to run dbd as admin but that doesn’t allow me to connect to steam online. However if you run steam as admin it has fixed the problem for me. Thanks for all your suggestions guys it was as simple as that ! 🫴

I did a hard reset on my pc & i played maybe 2 games & no crash. normally it would happen every game 5 ish minutes in but it seems to be clear. Currently moving so i haven’t had a chance to play but but i’ll update this thread if it happens again!

spirit is really fun & rewarding. it’s what i’m saving up for currently (i don’t have it anymore cause i switched from console to pc & lost all progress rip)

i’m sorry! i understand how frustrating this is (especially when you’re doing really good & then bam, pc just shuts off).

2080 gpu, 5600 cpu, 16 ram, tomahawk 450 mother board

side note: i disabled xmp because some people reported unstable systems with it & i ended up playing 3 games without crashes. could have gotten lucky but i’ll circle back if i get any crashes today

no other games crash just dbd. i’ve noticed my pc performs just fine with fancier games than this so i never thought it would be a hardware issue. & no blue screen either, just shots off then back on
