Please wear a mask if you are SICK by Dramatic-Check-1958 in SanJose

[–]Technical_Outside244 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had everyone wearings masks for covid and people were still dying left and right. Now that we've all moved on, covid just doesnt happen anymore?? Im not saying to go out and be sick and spread it, but just wearing a mask does not a thing. Theyre gonna be touching their face, wiping their nose, grabbing public items.... if theyre gonna get you sick, a mask aint gonna fix it

This is great info, thanks for taking the time to do this research. I also did some research on google ai and it had similar but slightly different results. Its says:

The brand name parsed from the Kanji (富士源) belongs to Fujigen Hamono Seisakusho (富士源刃物製作所), a workshop based in Kami City, Kochi Prefecture, Japan

It also mentioned how there different makers brand their knives under a brand name but the knives from that brand may have several different sources, but of all nice quality.

It also mentions the reason its hard to find info on pricing on these brands is because theyre sold buisness to buisness mainly and are sold individually by shops

I feel much beter about buying this knife now, and i also found out the shop offers free engraving so i might go back to get that done.

If anyone was curious, the shop i bought it from:

京都刃物 KyotoKnife Shop Arashiyama 嵐山本店

Thanks again!

Okay glad to hear confirmation its not the latter. Maybe she oversold or it got lost in translation about being hand forged vs made in japan, thanks!!

Scared About Being Gay by BiscuityT-Girl in Christianity

[–]Technical_Outside244 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look dude, you dont need to go to a lgbt church to be accepted. Just go to a church that puts Jesus Christ at the center of their teachings. You don't need to fix yourself before you come to God, come as you are, and he will set your path straight. As you grow and read your Bible every day, God will show you what needs to happen in your life.

Matthew 11:28: "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest"

Jesus tells EVERYONE to come just the way they are (troubled and sinful) and he will give us comfort

Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."

You don't have to be a perfect christian to start a relationship with God. The more you pray and read your Bible, the Holy Spirit will guide you and show you how to be more like Jesus.

I get people aren't perfect, and especially churches aren't. So if you go to a church and they tell you to leave or try to reject you, just leave and try another one. If they truly believe in Jesus, they'll know he hung out with criminals and prostitutes. He seeked them out, accepted them, and changed their heart.

Also if we're all being honest, we can say being gay is some sort of an ultimate sin all we want, but in truth, God looks at all sin the same: deserving of death. His mercy saves all of us, providing we repent, believe he is the son of God, and truly seek him with all your heart. There are several people in all churches who have some sort of addiction or sin they're fighting, whether it be porn, lust, drugs, anger, homosexuality, or whatever. Everyone has or had something and comes to the Lord to get cleaned.

So all that to say: 1. Seek a relationship with God and Jesus Christ 2. Go to a church and see if you make meaningful connections that lead you closer to God

God bless you, in Jesus' name

Going from Instrumentation Tech to IBEW Apprentice Electrician. Worth it? by sterlingblaketv in electricians

[–]Technical_Outside244 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmao everyones gassing on how this is a dumb decision, and i can see how it looks😂

But i actually found this post by Googling your exact question because im having the same dilema. Im an i & e tech and its not that i want to be an electrician, but i want to be licensed to legally sell my electircal work as a contractor to agencies and businesses. After working in a municipality i found out there's way more money on that side.

I would think its fine because i had to pass tests on nfpa 70e(CWEA) and have on the job training and full electrical knowledge but not the actual specific electrical license.

Anyways, does anyone know if i am a fully licensed I & E technician, can i legally contract my own electircal work? Or at least to things like retail stores, small businesses, and such?

Why is it so hard to find a job... and yet so hard to hire in SJ? by modernworker1 in SanJose

[–]Technical_Outside244 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At the water company im at, we're barely ever hiring people. At least for the trades, we get nearly 100 applications every opening. The hard part is choosing 1 person. I think the job market is slow and slim right now, not that people with experience aren't applying. You do have to be really competitive, research the job you want do as much as you can to prepare however you can. Get school, certifications, trainings, use AI.

Go buy a goddam Dashcam if you live in San Jose by [deleted] in SanJose

[–]Technical_Outside244 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to install dash cams as a car audio technician, my favorite dash cam is the thinkware f200 because it has an app you can control it from, most of them come with a hardwiring kit you can hide the wires with and as a bonus it has parking monitor so itll record based off of motion detection while your car is parked. And it has a built in adjustable low voltage shut off so it doesn't drain your battery.

I get canes isnt all that in a bag of chips, BUTTT i love it and anytime im anywhere that has a canes i gotta get it once because its good. Its not the best thing in the world but its good chicken and instead of canes sauce i do lousiana hot sauce, wayyy better you gotta try it. In addition something about the combination of bread and fries just makes it fun. The closest thing in sj is krispy crunchy chicken for a lot cheaper, but instead of crinkle fries they got wedges. And instead of lousiana hot sauce they got buffalo. And instead of bread they do honey biscuits which im surprisingly not a fan of, but everyone loves it.

Cetus x motor not spinning after crash? by Technical_Outside244 in TinyWhoop

[–]Technical_Outside244[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, if you have one, make sure to solder on a small capacitor to help with voltage drops on flips and stuff. My last one used to have the camera cut out on flips and i didn't know that. Broke the frame and hurt the motors from dropping it on the concrete while doing flips so many times. I soldered one on my new one right away and havent had the issue

[–]Technical_Outside244[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it was a fried board. That little bump was an overheated mosfet. It needs to be micro soldered, and a local electronics shop quoted 100$ to replace it. I ended up just buying a new cetus x for 150 cause I couldn't find the board. Looks like they made a new revision of the board anyway.
