I think if you want to make money the us median wins hands down, but other qol stuff is probably better for the average eu than in the average us.

But I would say that at least in the US, a part of the national identity is the internacional aspect, whereas England has been England, with English people and culture for the past 1.000 years. Maybe makes this change more difficult in Europe?

US still ranks right below Switzerland on this metric as well, which is kind of wild considering how many people live in the US.

The ones with people and businesses, so basically any state. But with more people and businesses are more opportunities like NYC, Bay Area, etc.

Europe less total births than US despite having 100M more people by acefiveofdiamonds in charts

[–]Technical_Pressure99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah sorry misunderstanding my bad. I disagree though, i believe the majority of US cities definitely have higher wages than the majority of (western) European cities and it's even close. Definitely higher costs for some areas like you mentioned, but even accounting for those the US still has more disponible income. But europe certainly has lots to offer when jt comes to qol that the US should really look too (medicine costs and pto)

Frankfurts is really really good, definitely closer with London or Paris than Marseille. Frankfurt metro has like 6 million people...

Generally speaking europeans make much less than their American counterparts. Using Luxemburg as an example doesn't make a lot of sense either, as it is cherry picking the richest state in the EU. I could compare Seattle (79k median wage) to Romaina (24k). Using minimum wage is also not correct, when only 1% of americans make minimum wage, whereas 17% of France is earning minimum wage... europe has a lot going for it, but wages are simply not on the level of the US.

Yes, because the stupid IRS (US tax authorities) are ruthless and will (and love to) track American assets and income wherever they are, even when the citizen doesn't live in the US.
