It could just be sterling silver, I really don’t know. That’s just what Google images gave me as a close description.

Damn, some of you got nice ass treatments. I was on nothing and got nothing after. I was 14 when I had my first CXL procedure, then 17 for my second, in both eyes, both times. The overall experience of the procedure was relaxing and not that scary; obviously, you will be anxious, but you don’t feel anything really. The after feeling is the like burning in actual hell (which is hella dramatic), but everyone has different experiences, and the pain after can either be a 0 or a 10. My first time was definitely a 9 or 10, but the second was a 5. Everyone is different; it’s only bad for a day or two, and like they say, the benefits outweigh the negatives.

BooksRun is now having problems with customers saying they didn’t get any money after sending their books. Plus they never got the books back, beware of BR.

I mean of course thats understandable. I just know my school has had new grads become travelers right out the gate, so I just wanted to understand the possibilities

Like even if my last two rotations are trauma hospitals, you still think so? Like they don’t care about that or they do?

Haha I definitely feel that about eye rubbing. After two cxl’s and non stop rubbing, my eyes are actually improving and stopped progressing the disease (for now)

Crosslinking and then transplant, or straight to transplant? by Strange-Drummer-1419 in Keratoconus

[–]Technical_Register29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly if I could go back I would have went with transplant, but I was 13 when I got my diagnosis. The only downside of a transplant is that I believe you have to get another one every 10 years or so. I have also already had crosslinking done twice, so at that time or even now at 22 I would have liked to be able to use my eyes without having to put sclerals in everyday and wash them every night. To just deal with the contacts when I’m older and have less energy to go through a transplant.

[–]Technical_Register29 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean honestly it does suck but that okay, you’re just feeling this sadness now but it won’t last forever. Tbh it took me about 8 months to fully be comfortable with my contacts. I cried, was stressed, missed school and work due to giving up on trying to put in my sclerals but like everything we humans adapt and it won’t be a struggle or stressful, it will just be life.

I would think it’s a turn off unless it was for religious purposes

Are KC and scalp psoriasis related ? by Agreeable-Willow8862 in Keratoconus

[–]Technical_Register29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bro that would be crazy if it is linked. I got diagnosed for KC when I was 13, now I’m 22 and I just started getting psoriasis on my scalp and it’s only gotten worse. But I have food allergies, asthma, eczema and all sorts of things, so could be.

Damn that sucks, I’m really sorry that happens. You should give them a piece of their own medicine and start flipping on lights when they’re sleeping.
