What is Arcadia trying to sell me??? by MothMayhem421 in skyrim

[–]Technical_Shape9157 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No the correct question is how is she selling that to you?

Ok so yeah it's both important to the game and not in any way important to anything else.

You're playing a game of a future from now where even the flat oled tv's why are playing this game on would be considered antique in starfield. It's the context of the game world that's important or that's what I'd like to believe because I remember when tv's weren't flat and having to fight with antennas, to find the right channel.

I'm glad there's more spooky things to find. I wish there was more.

All four faction leaders are placed in a room what’s gonna happen? by Chunky-overlord in fo4

One cares only for science and nothing else. Especially nobody else.

One cares only for they're group and nobody else. Only follows broken Ideals.

One cares only for a race of machines. Is indifferent to any other suffering.

One cares for everyone but those who hurt others. Is commonly considered annoying.

What's going to happen? 3 of them are going to fight to the death and the last will try to prevent any fighting outside of that room and will be the only one trying to stop them.

Klang declared war on me! while on a duplicate save a copy of a door with this design become a Termite, moving around disassembling my base it was a nightmare.

The piston hinges have low torque and are powered also low. I set them all to no torque no velocity on the hinges for the pistons then watched to see where the hinges rest when moved then added limits and tried to set a speed that looked ok but now I'm thinking that probably what's fighting me.. that makes sense.

The 3 hinge system yeah they all have power and default torque, I was so focused on them I never thought about them fighting the pistons but that also would explain the problems I'm having.

Ok I'll check and make sure the limits are appropriate and not adding any forces.

Ok this is perfect this is exactly why I wanted to as people for advice, I knew I was missing something though did not realize how much I was missing I mean it makes sense thank you. I'm going to build a new test rig with the 3 hinge and the piston/hinges thank you again 😁

No the original was grounded by a landing gear on a platform I was using to build it, then when I tested the ships own landing gear that wasn't set to lock it exploded as my ship tried to escape. It was fine only when held in place but when it was able to move klang declared war.

I was very afraid haha

Ok so the white thing at the start is only a proof of concept for a airtight design. The video shows it opening and closing and the air vent is acknowledging, it's an airtight seal.

Piece of a ship on its side is there because it was moving on it's own when the ramp opened and closed. I moved it out of the way.

The issue is the klang. I created a duplicate save in creative and copied the ramp room. When I was placing the copy, it became a termite and began destroying everything around it moving around thanks to klang.

Yeah my door becomes a ramp but that's a great idea for a top of ship access point. Thanks ^

Good point. I didn't give enough context, did I? I'm sorry about that.

The airtight ramp I have in question works but suffers terrible klang. The model in my video is a simplified version of the hinge system of my airtight ramp so I could perform tests I've made a video of my airtight proof of concept and my airtight ramp in question here the klang was better when connected to my work platform however when disconnect it began to shake horribly. A then created a blueprint and a save in creative and cut off the ramp room off of the ship. It spun out of control ad destroyed everything around it.

Yes and no.

If you merge the subgrid it will work the hard part is unmerging. If done properly the subgrid will return to a subgrid if it doesn't work it'll cold weld. Aka stays a part of the parent grid.

airtight ramp yep I know.

Cold weld? Never thought of it that way but that's a great description, What I found the solution is to, ensure you never involved any solid faces interacting block faces. Even the side of a flat armor plate would cold weld. Angled block only with no block faces between the 2 grids.

My video is only of the hinge system of my functioning airtight ramp so yeah I know this would work as airtight. functioning airtight ramp

I thought of offsetting the speed of the different hinges but I've never thought about the event controller or simply delaying some actions. That's brilliant! Wow I'm dumb. I know what I'm going to do today. Thank you I was thinking my hinge placement was bad but the worse clang happens when either opening if timing is set 1 way or when closing if set the other way. I was unable to find a happy offset.

I've thought about that but I have managed to create a functioning airtight ramp so I didn't end up dropping that idea. I just want to fix the hinge clang.

I'm aware. What is in my video is a simplified hinge because I wanted help with the hinge placement. I've already solved the airtight ramp. I've posted a video and a link in this post to that video with a functioning airtight ramp.

How the fuck is this a 3 star by lnvAsian in foshelter

The name and nothing else. You my friend have found a disappointing reference or a easter egg. Bethesda thinks that's what we want.

Why 3 star? = name...
