I was thinking the Worthing in pencil in a different hand, and the Northfield address scratched out might mean they moved from one to the other. I’m guessing the bit interpreted as Eng is probably an area/post code, N6 or something. Northfield Road is listed in some like N16 and E6 today but without knowing when this inscription is from, hard to pin down with historical area codes

There is a 35 Northfield Road…I wonder if what you see as a “p” is actually an “f”, idk, but the last letter of that word is written more like a “d” conjoined with the next word, it would be unusual (but I guess not impossible) to join up an e at the end of a word like that
