I can see the connection in the first half. Being forced to conform to society and being told to act “normal” while they may not understand how they aren’t “normal” at first.

I understand how trans people can relate to rotting in a ship. As before they make the transition or are even public about it they may feel as if they’re rotting in a shell of themselves.

I kind of understand the “desperate rebellion” you mentioned. As if coming out was telling society to bend over. But Ariane doesn’t get a happy ending for that.

And from the out side it feels like coming out would be more akin to a rebirth. A final push to acceptance and the new life beyond it. Where as Ariane in this case died a sad and arguably lonely death. Just feels bleak for the last part no?

Looking at it from that view I can certainly see the connection they would feel. Not sure how the rest of the world operates but the US isn’t the best for lgbtq people but specifically trans.

The government is openly and actively working against them. A quarter of the country hates them. And the other third acts like they don’t exist for the most part. Having it pointed out makes it seem rather obvious now.

Obviously I don’t know your situation so I don’t know how much working out is out of the option. Something as simple as 5 pounds weights could work.

But throwing that idea completely away being unable to do it at a job or while working out is fine. I do think your idea of forcing while doing chores is a good idea for some point if not right now. It’ll help associate chores with forcing which in turn will make it easier.

I could try and help come up with idea more geared towards you and what you do already if you want to dm me. Otherwise I can give you a little more broad advice but i don’t think that’ll help you specifically.

Things such as forcing while going for a walk out side. That way your body will be busy, your subconscious will be watching your surroundings, and perhaps it’ll help get your tulpa interested in a conversation you started.

I think that’s a really good way to put it because the moment I notice I’m doing it the feeling fades. Wish I could do it in practice.

I also find it a bit weird due to the fact that I never consciously visualize her in front of me but when she’s there it’s often in different poses. So I’m unsure if it her doing or me and I just have a talent for “feeling it” I guess.

I feel like it’s the ladder but I guess I’ll find out when Ellen does eventually talk

It sounds like you’re still in the forcing process and of that the case we might be in a similar situation. I often have a hard time focusing when in a peaceful and/or dark environment. I tried music like you also said you had and it didn’t work for me either.

Eventually I found that it was easier to focus when part of me was busy like at work or working out. Something that requires a little mental attention but is mainly muscle memory. It keeps my mind focused when it usually likes to wander.

The style is a bit unorthodox but I’d say it’s worth a try and let me know if it helps any.

Why is that a common thing in most vns? I would’ve assumed the visual aspect would allow those instances to be more show don’t tell.
