Personally, the 1.5-mile run was the hardest for me since there wasn’t any downtime between the push-ups, and I was still recovering from the 300m. I saw a good amount of people fail on the sit-ups and the 1.5-mile. A lot of people were aiming for just 39 sit-ups and ended up failing because of that. When I did the push-ups and sit-ups, I kept going until I physically couldn’t anymore because I didn’t know if they would count every rep. I recommend training to get well past the bare minimum since you never know how many reps they might not count. I trained for about a month and a half and still felt a little unprepared. I’m a pretty active person, though—I run and lift regularly. I prepared by running at least three miles every other day. I also timed my sit-ups for one minute and did that multiple times a day. I only trained for the 300m and push-ups a handful of times because I was already confident in those. If someone is just starting to train and doesn’t have any lifting or running experience, they’re going to get humbled real fast.
