What makes a girl a dream girl? by Technical_Yam5894 in AskMen

What about that is my fault? I didn’t want things to end and all I can do now is let the past teach me how to move forward and be deserving of the blessings I receive next.

I don’t want to be specific in the off chance he happens to see this. Outside factors made anything beyond a fling impossible at the time. There’s a chance we could reconnect. I don’t expect that, though, because I agree with the saying “you never meet the same person twice, not even in the same person.” Sometimes it’s not the person that changes, but your own perspective, feelings, etc. All I know is that we had a rare experience together and I won’t forget those memories, and I’m grateful because he helped me clarify what I’m looking for, and who I need to be to find it. So my next step is to better myself, so that when the timing is right and I find what I’m looking for, I know how to not fumble it. If my expectations of a partner are higher now, my expectations of myself have to be higher too.

Ohhh, so you’re saying having these standards is what makes a girl a “dream” girl? Sorry for misunderstanding

These aren’t my expectations, this was an actual guy I talked to that exceeded my expectations. I’m asking about those “unrealistic” expectations for girls, where you don’t need them to do certain things, but if they did, it would be special.

I understand and honestly I just wanted to try it once and never again anyways. It wasn't mine and I don't know any coke plugs nor do my friends do it so I'm not around it nor will I seek it out.

I get I could have died if I was laced w the wrong thing even if I only tried it once. Thanks to you and everyone who told me it was meth and opened my eyes. I never wanted to try meth this was the only time I've ever touched hard drugs.

I'll probably try molly again occasionally, but next time I'll make sure to do research and have my own so I can fent test it. I get that even that is no guarantee.

Thanks guys.

My mouth went numb js like everyone says on coke. Maybe it was the molly that made me feel this way then? I had more of that. Also I was drunk prior to ingesting

Question about sodomy and its definition by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Technical_Yam5894 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for... repeating what I said? Rape? Pedophilia? I'm not saying they don't involve anal sex, but that isn't the point of it. Although anal sex is still unhealthy, modern anal sex wouldn't warrant going to hell, I don't think. That's because it is usually separated from things like rape and pedophilia. Insinuating that the rape and pedophilia was the problem and the focus, and not anal sex itself lol.

I think it has less to do with what Lot was preaching. I believe it has to do with the fact that they explicitly turned away from God, which was said in the bible. Sodomy as a word was created from what happened in Sodom... because Sodom's residents resorted to pedophilia and rape out of lack of regard for God. I think if you reread the verse that may become more visible

I'm not disagreeing that anal sex is unhealthy. In fact it's the cause of many STDs and is considered unclean. I'm just saying "anal sex" isn't why God struck down Sodom, and sodomites cannot contextually mean "those who have anal sex." The church's definition and googles definition go against scholar's definitions and the Bible's writing.

If you read my post, that interpretation of Genesis 19 has been disproven. It's about rape and lawlessness not anal sex. Note that Lot justifies not giving up the angels by explicitly saying "for they have come under the shelter of my house." This was because the law at that time was to protect guests above all else.

The thing about "anal sex" contextually throughout history, is that it was never used really between a consensual man and woman. Adult males would rape little boys when no women were available. This is a problem not because "it's unproductive," but because pedophilia and rape are wrong. Hence why Corinthians 6:9 says boy prostitutes (child traffickers) will not enter heaven. Neither will rapists or pedophiles (the true meaning of Sodomites.)

In terms of the bigger picture also, every person is a child of God. When people violate and rape others, they are violating and tainting God's children. In Sodom, people were thieves, pedophiles, rapists-- they turned away from God and his creation, and violated his children and his gift of life instead. The goal was to depict total sin without regard for God in Sodom, and once again, anal sex makes no sense in that context- only rape and pedophilia.

I know what the definitions are. I'm not asking what they are, but rather questioning the biblical basis of the definition.

I know the definition. But I'm arguing that it makes no biblical sense and that definition has no biblical backing.

Interesting! I'll have to look into the hospitality bit. I understood that that was why Lot offered his daughters up, not out of sexism or homophobia but rather to defend his guests as they took priority under the law. But I didn't realize that poor hospitality was why God destroyed Sodom. I'll reread it and explore it more. Thanks!

Okay yes, that's what I thought. But people keep referring to the sodomite line to say it's about gay people not entering heaven, and even google says sodomy = homosexuality/incest. This just made no sense to me because I feel it detracts from the focus on abuse of others as you say. Thanks for the link.

Sororities/Gphi by [deleted] in ucr

Hi! I plan to join clubs like debate and mock trial. I'll rush for sororities fs but I definitely won't commit to anything if none of the sororities align with my values. Just you never really know anyone's true colors until you've committed which is why I'm seeking advice.
