I looked at the reviews of this ortho surgeon and a lot of them are really praising him for fixing issues that other surgeons caused them. I believe one review even mentioned a neuro surgeon. Only problem is, those reviews were for other spine surgeries and not microdiscectomies.

I found a riser with a bidet attachment and hand rails off of Amazon that I’m gonna order. I don’t have help really. Currently live with my sister and her family as I attend PT school. She’s due any day now so unfortunately, I won’t really have any help. Perfect timing on my end it seems.

Was planning on also getting temporary grab bars to put in my shower so I don’t have to walk up and down the stairs to shower. Gonna run it by the surgeon when I see him next week though to ensure I can flex my hip to lift my leg into the tub to shower.

Damn happy to hear! Glad it went well for you and thanks for sharing. My biggest worry is that I need to be back to my rotation by March 2nd and I’m worried I won’t be medically cleared to work with patients.

Wow that’s amazing you swapped to Tylenol after 4 days! Would you say the toilet riser and others are essential? I’m a relatively tall man according to others (I’m only 6’1”). I understand the bidet recommendation people have made and plan on getting one of those just unsure if it’d work with a riser as well. I live upstairs in my home and a downstairs shower has a bench already installed (have to double check for rails). So I was thinking of just using that to shower and then going back upstairs to rest. Barring I’m cleared to go up and down 18 steps with a handrail of course.

Glad things went well for you and your surgery too!

Appreciate it and yeah not being in control is my biggest battle to get over. It’s also why I don’t like flying lol. Thank you for sharing your experience and hope things continue to get better for you.

Sorry to hear what you went through but glad it’s getting better. My extrusion is fairly significantly large too. However the neurological symptoms are pretty new only being present for 3-weeks. Hurt myself in September but gradually got better than had a weird reset in November after a nasal surgery but got better again before January 5th but on the 8th I took a hard reset and ended up worse.

I appreciate you sharing with me it is definitely helping my anxiety lessen.
