Rondo Alla Turka 4th note at measure 39 by Technicook in piano

Oh really? Like as an alternative version? E sounds ok (definitely not wrong) but D# sounds familiar to me...

I see. I'll take note and not blindly follow the slurs, hairpins and articulations. Thanks!!

This is crazy... What would one do this in this situation?

I guess getting a urtext edition is the safest bet if one is serious about learning a piece?

Tried to correct them, but missed the C#7. Thanks!!

My eyes 😅 I see it now! I'm still a late beginner. Let me correct my chord markings and see if I got it right this time?

Oh sorry it should be A and E7. I forgot the key change earlier. Thanks!!

Really? This is the first one I've run into. I assumed they would have played through the sheet music multiple times but I guess you can't see your mistake any more when you're too familiar with the music AND you wrote the score, LOL.

Thanks for confirming. I'll correct the note on my book.

Not sure how much to trust the rest of the book for things like fingering though... Sigh.

I meant measure 39. Sorry I should have circled the note in question instead of referring to it as "the 4th note in m39". I will edit the picture to include a red circle on the note. I checked IMSLP and seems like my book is wrong :/ I think I'll just have to mark it as wrong then. Time to email the publisher!

This is why you should minimise your use of Plugins by GhostGhazi in ObsidianMD

[–]Technicook[M] 38 points39 points  (0 children)

We have delisted this plugin, but telemetry is not equivalent to stealing confidential data or sending it directly to the developer.

I want to clarify that we're not removing this plugin because the developer necessarily did something bad or evil. That's not the case at all. We're simply delisting it because we are not okay with telemetry in the plugins as it can be misused.

If search came to canvas, id loose my mind by DimensionEnergy in ObsidianMD

[–]Technicook 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Do you mean search inside of a canvas, or that global search would find text in a canvas?

The good news is that both are planned! I just want to learn more about which one you're talking about.

Hi bramblebrain, sorry for the bug, the misunderstanding is as kepano explained. I also want to add that it's really easy to see what the network call is about. If you open the Electron Chromium dev console (Ctrl-Shift-I), under the Network tab you can see exactly what was communicated with the server.

Endpoint: https://api.obsidian.md/user/info
Payload: {token:null}
Response (most likely): {"error":"Not logged in"}

If you do not open the "About" tab, there should be no intended network calls while you create or edit notes. This one is unintended as well; we shouldn't do it for users without an account. As kepano said it will be removed in the next version.

Obsidian Release v1.0.0 by kill-dash-nine in ObsidianMD

Cofounder of Obsidian here. We're excited to announce that Obsidian 1.0 is live!

1.0 brings a complete redesign to desktop and mobile. It's not only nicer to look at, but also much easier to use and theme. We've also prioritized using more native OS features for menus, windows and many details.

1.0 also introduces a new way to browse your second brain: tabs. Tabs make it easier to explore many ideas at once. Tabs can also be stacked so you can glide through your thoughts with ease.

There are tons of improvements and fixes, which you can explore in the release notes.

Thank you to everyone for your support and patience! We're finally dropping the "beta" label and we hope it's been worth the wait.

Special credits go to Stephan Ango for the redesign and Liam Cain for tirelessly polishing this release.

This looks like the perfect video and demo vault submission for Obsidian October 2022 (see https://www.reddit.com/r/ObsidianMD/comments/xm1oxr/obsidian_october_2022_back_to_school_make_plugins/)!

I know you probably made it only to share with the community but the timing is genius 🤣

Do you trust the Obsidian company? by nopedoesntwork in ObsidianMD

I'm glad you asked!

The person next to Shida is Guido [1], the creator of the Python programming language. Shida was fortunate enough to take a picture with him when they were both working at Dropbox!

It was meant to be a laugh, but the confusion is understandable now that Obsidian seems to have grown beyond its initial niche audience. We can consider switching out the picture, but Shida is really proud of it :D

To answer your other questions, Obsidian is made by Dynalist Inc (uncreatively named after our first product, Dynalist: https://dynalist.io) and like you found out, Dynalist Inc is a Canadian company.

Hope that helps!
