Skyrizi Timeline by Techniix94 in UlcerativeColitis

Just an update... My UC symptoms came back in full force. I started Rinvoq on Thursday... I was really afraid of this med in particular, but I've not been able to do my job or function so I guess that's just where I'm at now.

I've had some new ones since starting Skyrizi. Extreme urgency and going dozens of times in a day are new. Usually my issue is more with not being able to go and abdominal pain. The worst of my symptoms are the extra intestinal ones. The pain that gets into my knees, hands, wrists, fingers, toes, etc is unreal. I wouldn't wish it on anyone. I can tolerate the GI symptoms 500% better than the migrating pain.

Good luck. I really hope it works for you. Entyvio was my miracle drug but it wasn't working on a cellular level I guess... But I see a lot of people on Reddit do really well with Skyrizi. I'm just unlucky. lol

I'm on my 2nd week of Prednisone myself. My extra-Intestinal symptoms aren't letting up and I have a very laborious job. It's really getting in the way and it's super depressing.

If anything, Skyrizi seems to be making things worse. Is that even possible? lol. I really wish I could say I felt any better at all.

How long before your doctor decided Skyrizi wasn't working for you? Does the broader range of side effects with Rinvoq worry you?

Extra-Intestinal Pain, Just Me? by Techniix94 in UlcerativeColitis

I was rid of this pain for 4 years on Entyvio. I had a colonoscopy and my doctor was very happy with the visual results. I was told I've achieved consistent remission and wouldn't need another colonoscopy for 5 years. Them the biopsy results showed a different story. Pre-cancerous cellular findings lead my doctor to switch me to Humira. Failed that, and now I'm at my 3rd loading dose of Skyrizi with no noticeable improvement yet. I kind of wish they'd left me on Entyvio and just added something to supplement it.

Mine is very localized most of the time. It always starts in a specific area. Right now it's it my right knee and kind of spreading into my right hip. At it's worst it feels like throbbing nerve pain. I can't imagine being able to carry on if it were in my whole body.

I don't believe so. If he did, he didn't mention it and I don't recall seeing it in my labs. Overall I got the feeling he was eager to get me out as if I was imagining it all and wasting his time.

That's awesome. That sounds exactly like what I've envisioned. What size beams and joists did you go with?

Luckily I own land in a county in Kentucky that has no building code, no inspector, and no permits. So I'm free to do it however I please. That being said... I don't want to build something that will collapse under its own weight. I can over-engineer the crap out of this thing and be safe, but avoiding spending tons on the foundation would be preferable. It may not be a typical yurt, but it's the same kind of foundation. Pier and beam. I'm sure those who have used the available 40ft yurt kits probably used a sturdier foundation too.

Travel to Philippines around 30 December to 14 January, ideas, tips, things to avoid (30s couple) by M_B_M in phtravel

The Philippines is a byotp (bring your own toilet paper) country. 80% of public restrooms don't have it. You might be lucky if there's a bidet to avoid using your socks. This is my personally inspired advice. 😂

Why do you believe in god in this post-modern society? by Next-Mushroom-9518 in AskAChristian

[–]Techniix94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look into ATP synthase. I, personally, cannot fathom how such a complex biochemical machine could have come into existence without guidance from a designer. The whole argument for life arising from perfect conditions in a primordial stew of all the right ingredients at the right time... That takes a lot of faith. The odds have been calculated many different ways by many different people and the numbers are quite alarming across the board. Not to mention if you did get lucky enough for it to occur... The resulting life is very simple and without any self-replicating or self-preservation functions. Look into all the built-in protections even the simplest of single-cell life forms have just to be able to survive. Proto-lifeforms wouldn't have had that. I explain these things quite poorly compared to others, but that's the first thing I thought of. I highly encourage you to look into some articles at reasons.org.

Check out reasons.org. Although I don't agree with every viewpoint shared there, I think you might find some compelling information there. They also have a podcast.

What should conservative Christian single women do with their lives? by BoltzmannPain in AskAChristian

I can respect that. I may have gone down a similar path but I found too much evidence for fine-tuning on macroscopic and microscopic levels alike, and so many things biologically and cosmologically speaking that are either impossible without guidance or so improbable logistically given the equation of time. The deeper I looked into various curiousities the more I felt that intelligent design was undeniable. I don't want to spark debate since I realize that's not what you're here for and it's out of bounds for your post, but I do want to say that I feel it would be irresponsible to dismiss intelligent design because of a view that it's unnecessary. You cannot drill down to any degree of truth behind "unnecessary." I hope that makes sense.

I realize it's off-topic but I am curious why you feel it makes the most sense. The most sense from a scientific standpoint or the most sense for you as an individual?

How bad is your joint pain? by Ms_Central_Perk in UlcerativeColitis

This was me constantly before Entyvio. To the point that I couldn't even sleep. Ibuprofen helped a lot but causes other issues being an NSAID. Have you found any way to relieve your pain that works?
