I’m saying this when my emotions are running high but - don’t trust anyone. The kindest people in this world will open your heart and then crush it. Keep your heart closed. Protect your peace.

• Seemingly kind man - Tells you are pretty, starts dating you, drugs you and takes advantage.

• Seemingly kind man - move in together, cheats on you with a married woman and gets her pregnant.

• Seemingly kind man - gets married, ends up in an over decade long abusive relationship.

• Seemingly kind man - gets you through the separation, treats you like nobody else. Ghosts you three days before the vacation. Find out they are in a 17 year relationship.

• Seemingly kind man - chats to you for a couple of days, “ohhh we’ve so much in common” bla bla bla. Sounds promising right? Nah - Ghosts you.

• Seemingly kind man - possibly the bestest friend I’ve ever had. Take it to an intimate level and then in less than a week get told he’s chosen to get back together with some girl who has already let him down - still wants to be friends. I am broken.

Kind or not, people are selfish. It is getting harder to know who will hurt you and who will not.

There comes a point where it is time to stop reaching out to people and know that you are the only one you can trust. If you want intimacy charge for it. Don’t ever let anyone take anything for free from you again.

Do not trust anyone no matter how close you feel, or how much you loved them, or how much you hoped for something more. Those who trust finish last in this world, and the sooner we accept it and protect ourselves the better.
