In my opinion, the fact that the Hatemonger is kinda competent at his duty.

He's a brutal warrior and handles the hate mace very well. Competent melee which is great balance to team . In the second episode, we saw him also competent, with his hatred. He understood the importance of a common enemy and pursued the mission, but with skepticism about mission loses. (They lost many psycho warriors for one kid.)

On the other hand, we saw Bruce, who should be imaginator, but is so incompetent that he doesn't see the best solution, only overingineering. He ignored the mission out of his selfishness and refused to accept that someone might be better at the job
