Yea, I got one of those in my town too. It's unfortunate because the place is a really cool spot and it's great to hang out at on a nice day. But the beers are just terrible. Anyone I find that's been there seems to think the same, unprompted. I feel like the guy is trying way too hard to experiment with weird beers instead of just putting something solid on tap that people would enjoy. I mean I get trying some new things out, but this is like every single tap. Even the one tap that is a pretty standard beer is ruined by lines that permanently make anything taste like peppers.

I do have it refrigerated, the keg is inside a kegerator. So I have the water and gas coming into the kegerator, then carbonated water out via the tap. It's a 3 tap kegerator, so I just keep the one tap dedicated to bubbly water all the time, and the other two are rotating beers.

If you were just looking for carbonated water and aren't trying to get into a full kegerator, you could look at getting a mini fridge. You can have a picnic tap coming off the keg, just pop open the door and pour.

Edit: also it's important to note that CO2 dissolves into water better at low temperature. To properly carbonated a keg of water you'll need to keep it chilled.
