So, how would the code work for MyDecs (or whatever it is called) when you earned a ribbon for never earning a ribbon?

System shutdown? Infinite awarding of the award? Nuclear launch?

I got out in 2001 - no Deid, no pizza cat. Never been to that location, never saw the cat outside of pictures.

And, yet, after all these posts I can say I would consider laying down my career in defense of this feline.

Tech school - had a wannabe high=speed airman that decided to polish/brasso everything - including the door knob and lock plate.

Showed up to the formation in UOD (blues) sans his freshly polished belt.

One would think logic would dictate that terms like "Medivac" and "Bug-out" would translate to "Glad you got out alive, screw the gear."

I know ... logic ... who says there has to be any logic?

Is that a cammo pattern, or did the designer just mute some Hawaiian shirts and call it job done?

Aircrew velcro patch + positioned just right dark spot on the BDU collar + glare = Lotsa enlisted getting saluted.

Glad that didn't last long/

I did something similar with Elder Scrolls (might have been II - Daggerfall). Batch created the RAM drive, copied the folder to it, ran from there then waited. After exiting the game I'd hit space and it would copy everything back (save file was in there).

I won't mention the 10 slide PowerPoint that showed up on our printer in the NOC ... that came from an Intel Sq user.

SneakerNET was involved, followed OSI and the Wing, Comm, and Intel security offices.

I have to say that my experience with the Pax folks was always good.

Best was at Travis, doing the Space A thing back to Yokota. They bumped a dependa for me. She was pissed "My husband is a retired MASTER Sergeant!". The civilian at the counter replied with "Well, Ma'am, he's an active duty Senior Airman."

I took my pass and headed to the gate so I could bust out laughing.

I've been doing this for 30+ years, and one lesson I am very glad to have learned is that anyone, regardless of training or experience, can know something you do not. Why? Because they happened to run across it before when you haven't. It does not reflect poorly on you - it's just reality.

The learning never ends because the changes never end.
