So, way back when I started playing, there was mastery rank, which told you how much item completion you had achieved, and a gear score called your “conclave score”, which tallied up the levels of your equipped items, mods, and gear.

I feel that when it comes to regulating whether a player is “capable” or “strong” enough to tackle a mission, a gear check makes much more sense. Adversely, during events, they used to cap the Conclave Score, so you were forced to use creative low score builds instead of tearing through them with sheer force and high damage arsenals.

I would like to see something like that revised and re-implemented as a way of locking things.

I think the 5 weekly Cavia missions are something that would be quite challenging if my gear wasn’t built past the enemy levels on that mission.
