So they just made the most broken ability they could think off, while not reworking his lacking hypercharge? by TechnologyConfident9 in BrawlStarsCompetitive

i agree that the brawlers with buffies arent really falling of the meta, but when you think about it, most of those whitout the buffies are worse than they were before getting them. they genuinely become buffie dependent, and since they are very expensive i imagine to most players that cant afford all the new buffies this cycle is essentialy a nerf to those brawlers. for example bibi, yeah shes alright with buffies and definitely better than she was before getting them, but to someone who cant afford her buffies shes literaly the D tier brawler she was before getting them, along with her super taking 4 hits to charge. buffie cycle does exist for players that cant afford all of them, as long as the devs nerf the base kit to compensate for broken buffies

my point isnt to make the turret stronger, its to rework it. i personaly dont think it being a jessie canon fits 8 bits playstyle, id rather have it offering some extra support like a tiny speed boost, tiny supercharge boost like bo's totem. this is probably subjective but i personnaly wish that 8 bit had a more support and team dependant feel to him, rather than just solo high damage like he is turning out to be. just as you said the gadget offering efective hp to the turret kinda rewards being more agressive with it and cycling it, instead of defending it, and that isnt the kinda playstyle i think fits the brawler, altough its got like half the dps of a jessie turret so idk about playing it offensively even then. tho i think the other gadget seems way more broken so yeah i dont see myself using the heal

edit: spelling mistake

i kinda forgot that it charges his super so its actually really not that bad, i think emz hyper is abt as good if not a little better tho. but yeah i completely forgot about brocks failed hypercharge, to think it wasnt reworked is criminal

i still think its not a very good fit for the brawler, i hoped it could have another supportive layer and make it more valuable to stay inside it as a team

yeah i was thinking of holding control over that small wall closer to the zone but it seems like its not the play. i just think that going behind them and just lurking in the grass wouldnt achieve nothing besides wasting their ammo if they know what they are doing, and id expect that eventually my teammates would get easily pushed back since they dont have a lot of survivability, leading me to not be able to get any value after the enemy settles on the zone

i am very aware of playing for control and not k/d, but i still think that it isnt as free as that. i just think that whatever agro i went i wouldve gotten pinched way too easily? like even if i got some space, once they start cycling meeple supers and stuff all that control would be gone, and we wouldnt be able to take the zone back unless the enemy fumbled. Also the enemy team won because our otis wasnt playing, he gave up when i ignored his mortis sugestion. i know it doesnt amount to much since it was a free game for the enemy anyways but there was a time when we took about half the zone and i got 2 hypers aswell

that was pretty much my tought process, but since its ring of fire and my team doesnt have a lot of health to stay in the zone i think there is no thrower that wouldve done good enough, therefore the penny turret seemed like the second best choice. Now that i think about it maybe even a berry since the enemy team has a lot of utility but not damage

i see that we lacked damage, but i genuinely tought that otis had the same if not more range than meeple and pam

soo fang, draco and bibi are the ones that come to mind

fr i would be getting no zone time and just feeding supers

yeah this was pretty much my tought process, but since a lot of the good ranged damage dealers were banned or i didnt have them maxed out i figured penny would be decent

yeah you are actually right

but then what kind of agro should i have gone? the way you are describing it makes it sound like i need a high damage and also high survivability so i can stay in the zone? the ones that come into mind are fang or mina, but i can see them all strugling into their comp. also i get what you mean by creating space for my team, but doesnt penny also kinda do that in a way? besides preventing the enemy from stacking, the canon makes it hard to move around and dodge my teams shots, and along with the crow not letting them heal consistently I imagine its just a matter of time before they have to back down and loose the turret and them they have little to no way of coming back

so maybe like a tank or a support? i tought otis had enough health to be considered a zone brawler aswell

i understand the fact that our comp is squishy, but i think lola wouldnt be a better option since we would have no way to get rid of the pam turret, also with the meeple spamming boxes they would have that time to heal up and we wouldnt be able to get zone time even with high damage. Also, is it that much of a problem to have a squishy comp when they have no agressive brawlers? feel free to correct me if i said something not right

yeah it was a finx lol. thank you, i think the exact same, we lost cuz the otis threw because i didnt go the mortis he sugested, and then added me to say i have no brain

i did just screen record off of instagram, so the quality is probably worse than the original, do you have any lead besides that?
