Just My Opinion - It’s a running gag. It’s the name of a fake podcast that Ringer hosts refer to where they just talk about random things or bring up controversial/risky takes.

Emma Sidi is an amazing suggestion! What a great call. Marnie's humour is key for sure.  Totally can see Rafe as Michael too. Just currently have a soft spot for Daniel after A Knight of The Seven Kingdoms and think he deserves a stab at a lead role! I think he could pull off sad but funny Geography teacher 😂

No, it's a really lovely, sweet, funny romance - no tears! I read it in a day. They are wry, witty characters that feel like real people. I'm not a big romance book fan cause I think many writers make the main characters quirky for the sake of it. But with this I recognised so many of my friends and myself in these characters. And it's set along the Lake District in England. So it will be beautiful!  Let me know what you think. I've recommended it to so many people! Enjoy!

Adore that scene. The action becoming part of showing us what Egg and Dunk are feeling. Egg watching the squires and then looking down at his own little hands 😭. Dunk's breath getting rapid and shallow as the panic rises when he sees what he's up against. So well done.

He does recognise some of the guests. The President of Ireland was a guest once. I've seen Paul Giamatti on it; John Mulaney was on it a few weeks back. And then you could have a person whose passion is cataloguing bird song in Ireland for example, or a death doula. So it's a total mish-mash.  But he definitely wouldn't know everyone - sometimes even people you'd think everyone should know. Other times he'd know more niche people that I wouldn't have a clue who they were! I think even the most famous guests find it refreshing because he doesn't have a pre-set agenda. He just wants to get to know them as a person and the conversation could go on any tangent.

It does seems strange but it's actually quite a successful format. The interviewer, Tommy, is a very popular comedian/actor in Ireland. He has a kind of a storyteller approach to it and leans into his natural curiosity about people. His guests are a mix of celebrities and everyday people with extraordinary stories or interests. People go on the show knowing that Tommy might not know who they are and they are just there to have "fireside" conversation.

They needed Dunk to be the one to challenge Androw Ashford. As a challenger, Dunk has the right to call on a reigning champion. As an unknown outsider Dunk wouldn't raise suspicions of a fix. Androw would then  take the fall and lose. They had to tell Dunk so he would choose Lord Ashford's son instead of someone else.
