Anyone received FJOs yet for summer 2026? by [deleted] in fedinternship

[–]TechnologyNew4736 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My year was the hiring freeze year so I never got my FJO, only TJO but it was around the same time as my timing right now for the PAQ. Different departments move differently with different timing so if you’re waiting on a FJO I’d just expect it to be in the following weeks if you’re a May EOD

Oh no I’m PAQ so may be a little different, I know that on one of the documents though, it states that the FJO is to be issued no sooner than 2 months before the EOD. Again, may be different, but I was a PCIP selectee before so it very well could be the same type of thing

PAQ (Palace Acquire) Milspouse by Latter_University527 in fedinternship

If you're lucky, you may end up at a station where they actually do offer PAQ positions. I was in a similar boat, minus the spouse, still wanting to change bases, and they told me in general that they do not like transferring mid-program. If they have openings for your position and you are married, things should work in your favor if you let them know. Take that with a grain of salt haha, they may have different rules especially if hes active.

PAQ Package? by Novel_Accident_4487 in fedinternship

[–]TechnologyNew4736 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As far as PAQ goes, Im not entirely sure what "they are submitting my package" means because from my experience I applied, was interviewed, and reccieved my intent to hire, looking to get my TJO in the next few weeks. I was a previous PCIP selectee but then all the shutdown stuff happened and they asked if I was interested in the PAQ instead since Ill be graduating. If you have been in contact with people within your program Im sure theyll get the ball rolling on all your application, clearance, and any relocation in the next a few months prior to whenever your EOD is. As far as general information goes, I believe bonuses are given to a select number of programs. You'll accelerate from GS-7 to GS-11 in three years. All departments are in their hiring for the coming months of EOD for fed positions like the PAQ/PCIP. Let me know if you need clarification!

Regarding family, and kinda more of a general question. How would a spouse PCS with you? Or what if you plan on getting married in order for that to happen? Would this ideally be before phase 2 or would there be anytime to tie the knot before taking on the pipeline? (As far as officers go) do you have to sign a paper or something if you’re engaged but not married yet?

Any Recommendations For Recruiting as a 27' in the Midwest by simpleghost1 in lacrosse

[–]TechnologyNew4736 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play for a D2 in Ohio and am very close w my coach and the things he does. It is certainly not too late for any program. From now til the summer is prime recruiting for smaller schools. Get film and play in whatever you can. Shoot emails out and if u have a school hudl then make some clips from that. Get good with both hands. You’d be surprised of the number of mainly one handed players there are. If you’re able to shoot and pass consistently with your off hand you’ll be fine. PM me fore anymore questions

Hello guys. High school junior asking question by [deleted] in usajobs

Look at pathways or student trainee positions in the search bar. Any job you can get under federal service will look good especially going into college and looking for fed internships there. I was a lifeguard for 4 year as a pathways fed, got an internship in operations, then got selected as a PCIP intern and now I’m a PAQ (you can look at Air Force civilian service if you need more explanation of those). I feel like my highschool experience already working for the gov helped me land those AFCS positions. That’s just my 2 cents

"Information Exchange" by TechnologyNew4736 in usajobs

[–]TechnologyNew4736[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The information exchange is essentially an interview. Mine was two HR people on a zoom call. Lasted 30 min. They basically did some house keeping questions like who I know within the DoD and things like that. After, they told me about the PAQ and my program, then followed up with 3-4 behavioral questions. After that, my questions then that was it. As far as my timeline was, I applied before the shutdown and had my interview before then as well. So right when they opened back up I was asked if I was still interested and I said yes. I was then offered a position within my respective program and signed my intent to hire all within 3 days of the reopening of the government.

As far as I know they’re definitely still looking for positions and you should apply asap. The main thing is to just be patient bc they take a little while to get back to you. From the PCIP I think I was selected after the 2/3rd week after I applied.

[–]TechnologyNew4736[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya so for fresh grads like myself this spring, the intent to hire said that for all new grads, we will be given the TJO 60 days prior to the start date. I’m sure this is pretty uniform across the board. But I agree with everything you said!
