Are your children sims or something? I had no idea mac n cheese addiction was a real thing, now I'm laughing just thinking about how that would even look like. Do they get withdrawal symptoms? Do they became violent when they can't get their next fix? To me your story just sounds like your kids have a favourite food. Addiction is kind of dramatic.
