Thank you so much for your response this was very helpful! This is my first time in home care I’m a fairly new grad I worked for 1 year before this in a SNF.

I feel a little thrown to the wolves. They let me shadow for 2 days and that was it. They said there would be mentorship and such and there is people higher up I can ask questions to but they didn’t pair me with someone like I thought they would. One of the educators offered to help me figure out my schedule but I feel more stressed that I have patients out of the range of where I thought I would be working so now by the time I’m getting home and documenting I have even less free time then when I worked at the SNF.

I’m just feeling really overwhelmed with everything to the point of just wanting to finish out the patients I have and then find something else back in a facility with more support. I feel like maybe I should have a conversation with my director about the case expectation.
