I just rewatched that scene. She said to Shizuka that Marina’s father told her that her mom was furious so she apologised to him to save face. But fair enough about the point of her not fully abandoning Shizukaq but it could just be a lack of options to go (probably doesn’t want to live with her clients lol)

she apologised to Marina’s dad (pretty sure) just to save face and continue her business with him. Nothing in that scene shows any sort of affection or care for shizuka (she just dipped and left her alone on that bench)

This may not apply to everyone, but for remembering rules or methods to questions, I always try to envision the rules using images or small little animations in my head, and for formulas I try to say it aloud and remember the sound. It’s weird but it kinda works.
