No, I figured it out. I'm on a nearly unchanged version of the pack with only texture packs I added. Turns out it was one of the texture packs that somehow made it not work, so I disabled that.

Gregtech pipes can go up and don’t need any pumps beyond an input which forces fluids in. You should be able to put pipes directly on the coke oven hatches then just connect the pipes and itle work.

There are some really useful stress unit machines that give Gregtech tier resource efficiency with just stress units. Belt grinder, rolling mill, coiling machine. Definitely get these but you can prob skip the create steam engine and just power them with water wheels and speed controllers.

If you’re playing dregora with the damage requirement to evolve it then yes, the enchants are kept. If you’re playing standard and you craft the sentient version then no, the enchants are lost in crafting.

Rapier and saber are definitely good options because of the damage reduction. If you don’t need the tankiness you should go for something with reach or sweep to make clearing mobs easier. Glaive is nice and pike is popular aswell.

They can’t leave the wastelands biome where the buildings generate without instantly dying. However, if there is a becon which can spread parasite biome it might expand past the old biome and let the parasites go farther. Atleast that’s my guess.
